Addiditive synthesis engine
Notes: Odessa implements the principle of additive synthesis controlled by a set of carefully tailored macro parameters to harness thousands of sinusoidal partials that altogether form the resulting sound.

The interface is kept simple and accessible, so you can easily build rich and full, great sounding timbres of very complex spectra, that can be either harmonic or inharmonic. Even though inharmonic spectra yield non-periodic waveforms, all partials are frequency related to the common fundamental controlled by a V/oct input. The series of harmonics can be squeezed or spread apart, tilt, and pruned by a comb-like frequency response, resulting in a variety of unearthy sounds. Animating the comb response yields radical effects similar to flanging and phasing. Additional, often sought after features are implemented: through-zero linear frequency modulation, and unison detune: up to 5 copies of the sound can be spread apart for a fat and dense cluster of voices.

There are nine parameters, each controlled by a dedicated knob, so the workflow is as smooth and immediate as possible. Furthermore, every parameter has a dedicated CV input, allowing live animation for organic audio effects. Odessa sports two main outputs for banks of harmonic partials that can be further scaled in frequency, as well as an additional output that can either spit out a square wave or a single sinusoid of the fundamental frequency. Interesting spatial effects, crazy modulation feedbacks as well as synchronisation is possible that way.

The hardware is based on a powerful FPGA chip offering massive parallel computing. The synthesized signal is devoid of aliasing through the entire audio range thanks to intrinsically bandlimited algorithm. A simplified spectral analyser helps you to keep a visual track of what is actually happening to the harmonics.

For even more control over Odessa, you can use the Leibniz subsystem (or just the Lipsk) that can be connected to a header at the back of the module.

Analogue dual overdrive filter module
Notes: The Ar Merc'het Brao module is comprised of two filters and two overdrives.

As usual at Touellskouarn it has a Breton name: Ar Merc'het Brao means "The pretty girls".

It can be used with a stereo signal or with two mono signals. The module is modular as well as guitar friendly.

The filters are resonant with a slope of -12dB. A switch allows to switch each filter from LowPass to HighPass. The filter cut-offs are voltage controlled thanks to dedicated CV inputs. Additionally, the Ar Merc'het Brao features global controls for cut-off and resonance.

Both overdrive sections offer the classic and well known TouellSkouarn distortion sound.

Full wave rectifier & distortion - 8HP
Notes: Pura Ruina is a three-stage CV-controlled fully-hyphenated full-wave rectifier/distortion designed for audio. Simple waveforms can be manipulated into completely new and exciting tones, and already complex sounds can be shredded into sonic oblivion. Add some CV and you'll never want to let PR out of your rack!

Each stage has an individual level control with corresponding CV and individual out, as well as feeding to the universal Sum output. PR's rectification creates a unique flavour of distortion unlike standard wavefolding or clipping. The possibilities are virtually endless: add to a west-coast style complex oscillator setup for unique timbral shaping, annihilate a percussion mix through it, run its individual outs through other Ruina modules for further mayhem... You'll never run out of awesome things to try.

Snare drum module based on circuit designs of the MFB-522 & Tanzbar Lite
Notes: The Snare-522 Modul contains an enhanced circuit of the MFB-522 and Tanzbar Lite. You can edit and modulate the sound in a wide range.

As a modular concept you have the possibility to control the parameter SNAP, SNAP DECAY. TUNE and TONE via CV-signals from Envelopes, LFOs and Step Sequencers.

The parameters are in detail:

SNAP is the intensity of the noise floor.
SNAP DECAY is the release time of the noise up to two seconds.
TUNE sets the range is about 100 to 300 Hz.
TONE controls the mix between the two t-bridge filters. DECAY sets the release of the snares tone.

Beside sequencer generated analogue and digital trigger-signals, drum pads, piezo pickups and dynamic mics may also be used. Here the SENS controls allow individual adjustment of the input sensitivity. Dynamic triggers also change the volume, tone length and snap of the snare drum.

The module has a wide of 40mm (8HP).

Compact dual attenuator, inverter, attenuverter, multiplier, mixer & DC voltage source
Notes: Duatt is a dual-channel active/buffered attenuverter and summing mixer. Each channel has a knob, which can function as a unipolar attenuator or a bipolar attenuverter, depending on the setting of its corresponding two-position polarity switch. It's a versatile and super handy utility module that will find its way into almost any patch you make!

Each input is normalled to a built-in +5V DC voltage source. With nothing plugged into the jacks, each knob controls a voltage range of 0 to +5 V or -5 to +5 V depending on the position of the channel polarity switch.

Channel A's output is normalled into the output of channel B for mixing duties, and channel A has a 2x voltage multiplier switch, allowing you to double the voltage sent into Channel A.

Notes: Incredibly powerful two-channel filter module capable of much more than just filtering. State-variable digital filters with built-in VCAs designed to overdrive beautifully. Sounds great.

Supplier's notes:
BIONIC LESTER MARK III is a 2-channel 2-pole state-variable digital filter with an unusual amount of good sonic character. The filter mode is continuously variable under manual or CV control, smoothly fading from lowpass to bandpass to highpass to notch to allpass with a single motion. The resonance stops just short of self-oscillation. A digital VCA controls the amplitude and the distortion of the input signal pre-filter. The filters have independent inputs and outputs, and an additional Mix output with balance control. The filter design was initially inspired by the best of late-1990s "virtual analog" filters and has gone far beyond.

The audio input controls have dual behavior. When the control (or CV input) is turned from zero position to the center, it operates as a simple gain control for that input. When turned past the center position towards the maximum, the signal will begin to soft-clip, adding hard clipping as the maximum is approached. This smooth and subtle distortion adds violence to otherwise unremarkable input material, generating additional harmonic content for the filter to process. The digital VCA that controls the gain and distortion functions is aware of the input signal's zero crossing, eliminating "clicking" noises when the gain is modulated.

Each filter section has three CV inputs. The first is a high-speed input hardwired to the filter's cutoff frequency, appropriate for snappy envelopes and slow moving voltages alike. The other two inputs (one with attenuverter control) are freely assignable to any of the filter parameters (cutoff, resonance, mode, gain), storable in a preset. The Mark III preset system stores eight fully programmed panel setups, instantly recalling everything under the harshest demands of performance. The Morph mode allows smooth fading between all of these presets.

Activate Filter B's LINK control for patch-free routing of the filter's control or audio signal. You can achieve dual-peak resonance, cable-free series routing, cascaded 4-pole filtering (with two stages of distortion), and full stereo using only one set of filter controls. The input normalization, LINK settings, and parallel mix output further reduce cable clutter while rapidly patching an elaborate signal flow.

The controls are arranged for maximum tweakability and minimum cable interference, with metal-shaft potentiometers attached to the panel on the large knobs. The Mark III OLED display displays the cutoff frequency in Hertz, resonance amount, and filter type morph. The CV inputs process all input voltages between -10 to +10 volts. Panel size is 15HP.

Expanded take on Mutable Instruments' famous Clouds granular texture synthesiser - grey faceplate, 34HP
Notes: Serious granular synth power in this expanded reissue of the classic Mutable Instruments Clouds module. Easier to use and more powerful than the original. Ultra creative approach to unique synth textures

Supplier's notes:
Clouds, the granular synthesis module from Mutable Instruments, was discontinued in 2017. Supercell brings back Clouds in a more accessible 34 hp form factor, offering an improved user interface and several additional features:

- Each of the Blend parameters (Feedback, Panning, Mix, and Space) have dedicated knobs with their own CV inputs and inverting attenuators (attenuverters).

- The inputs and outputs now have mute switches, stereo VCAs, and separate VU meters. The knobs act as offset controls when their respective VCA inputs are patched.

- A stereo output gain control has been added, providing an additional +6 dB of gain to compensate for low output levels when using certain parameter combinations.

- The complex process of changing the sampling time and managing presets has been simplified with dedicated switches and status LEDs.

- Extensive modulation options for all parameters including direct patching of external CV, distribution of one CV to all parameters via the AUX input, or an internal smooth random CV that is normalized to any unpatched inputs when AUX is also unpatched. The attenuverters control the modulation depth in all three cases. As of firmware v1.01 the internal modulation rate can be adjusted within a range of 1 to 100 Hz.

- The inputs and outputs now include stereo VCAs and separate VU meters. The knobs act as offset controls when their respective VCA inputs are patched.

- Pitch is now controlled by two separate inputs: the V/Oct input is exponential and the Pitch input is linear. When both inputs are used, their voltages are summed.

- A manual Trig switch (for capturing individual grains) has been added, in addition to the Trig input that was present on Clouds.

All other features of the original Clouds remain intact, including access to the alternate modes. Thanks to Olivier Gillet for making the original Clouds hardware and firmware available under open-source licenses. Third-party firmware such as Parasites (by Matthias Puech) and Beat Repeat (by Julius Kammerl) will be supported in future firmware updates after the initial release of the module.

Crossmixer/panning combination module - 6HP
Notes: The FLAME "XPANMIX" module is a combination of an XFADER (Crossmixer) recorder and a PANNING Mixer recorder. The upper part of the module contains the XFADER with two inputs to one output. In the lower part of the module is the panning mixer with one input to two outputs left/right. The inputs are designed for audio or CV sources with a voltage range of +-5v (Audio Modular Level). In addition, the inputs can be switched separately to +6db audio (for external audio line level sources) using the slide switch on the rear panel.

The movements of the two mix controls can be recorded. The recording time per channel is over two minutes. The playback speed is adjustable in playback. The recorded track is played back once when the Play button is pressed briefly (one shot) or in the loop when the button is pressed a little longer.

Both mixers have a separate reset input as well as a separate CV input (+-5V) for controlling the mix e.g. by an LFO. The track data remains permanently stored (battery buffered memory).

In addition, the output of the XFader is routed to the input of the Panning Mixer if there is no cable in the PAN input. Both mixers are thus connected in sequence and can additionally mix the XFADER in the stereo image.

Dual channel stereo panner with automation
Notes: The FLAME "PANMIX" module contains two independent panning mixers with one input each on two outputs left/right and is designed for audio or CV sources in the voltage range +-5v (audio modular level). In addition, the 2 inputs can be switched separately to +6db audio (for external audio line level sources) using the slide switch on the rear panel.

The movements of the two mix controls can be recorded. The recording time per channel is more than one minute. The playback speed can be adjusted in playback. The recorded track is played back once when the Play button is pressed briefly (one shot) or in the loop when the button is pressed a little longer.

Both panning channels have a separate reset input as well as a separate CV input (+-5V ) for controlling the mix e.g. by an LFO. The track data remains permanently stored (battery buffered memory).

In addition, there are three further audio/CV signal inputs (a mono and stereo left+right), which are routed directly to the output and mixed together with the two PAN channels. This allows you to mix in other sources directly and e.g. connect two or more "PANMIX" modules together.

6HP VCO with auto-tuning & octave shift
Notes: Simplified version of the Furthrrrr Generator dual VCO, inspired by Don Buchla's designs. Through-zero linear FM, wavefolding, sub-oscillator and auto tuning. Proper west coast synthesis at its best.

Supplier's notes:
The Endorphin.es Godspeed is sort of the single oscillator version of the famous Furthrrr Generator. From its big brother it takes over the digital Thru-Zero core and the legendary wavefolder. But it also has new features like a sub-oscillator output and an immensely practical autotune function.

Especially for people starting with a modular system this oscillator is highly recommended. On 6HP it delivers all the features (and more) needed for diving into the depths of West-Coast-Synthesis!

Bucket Brigade Device module, 0 Stages - 14HP
Notes: Module A-188-1 is a so-called Bucket Brigade Device module.

BBDs have been used to delay audio signals before digital delays dethroned the BBD based effect units. But BBDs have some very unique advantages (or disadvantages dependent on the point of view) over the digital counterpart which result from the special properties of the BBDs. BBD circuits can be treated as a chain of Sample&Hold units (S&H) which pass on their voltages to the next S&H in the chain at each clock pulse.

In any case the sounds generated by module A-188-1 are very special. Typical applications are: Flanger, Chorus, Analog Delay or Karplus/Strong synthesis. But as the A-188-1 has a lot of very unique features (voltage controlled clock rate / delay time with extreme range, polarity switches for the CV inputs, feedback and BBD out/mix, clock and CV output of the high speed VCO, BBD clock input, feedback insert, feedback up to self-oscillation) a lot of unusual applications can be realized with the module (e.g. delay controlled by ADSR, envelope, random or sequencer with positive or negative effect).

The A-188-1 also has no built-in anti-aliasing filter in order not to limit the possibilities of the module. For this the CV out is intended.

This module comes without BBD circuit. The final adjustment is possible only with the BBD circuit used in the module. Electronic experience and measuring equipment (digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, frequency meter) are required.

DC coupled amplifier - 4HP
Notes: Module A-183-3 is a simple amplifier. It is DC coupled and can be used for both CV and audio signals. The maximal amplification can be switched between 1, 2 and 4 (in position 1 the module does not work as a real amplifier but only as attenuator). The level can be adjusted by means of the Level control between zero and the chosen maximum amplification (1/2/4). Two overload LEDs indicate if the output signal goes beyond about +10V or becomes less than about -10V. Input and output are equipped with miniature 2-fold multiples (nothing but 2 connected sockets).

The main application of this module is to adapt differing audio or CV levels between different modules or systems. For example, LFO, ADSR or Gate levels between modules of different manufacturers can be increased or attenuated. But even audio signals can be attenuated or amplified up to 4. But the module cannot be used as an amplifier for external low level audio signals (e.g. microphones or electric guitars)!

Dual buffered 1-in-3 multiple module - 4HP
Notes: Module A-180-3 is a dual buffered 1-in-3 multiple. The signal applied to the input socket appears as a buffered signal at the three output sockets. Each output has its own buffer, i.e. the three output sockets are not simply connected to each other. The lower output of the upper unit is normalled in the factory to the input of the lower unit. That way the module works as a single 1-in-6 buffered multiple provided that no signal is applied to the input of the lower unit. But it's also possible to pick-up the bus CV and normalize the input socket of the lower unit to the bus CV.

Application: copying/buffering of CV, gate and audio signals.

Two separate slew limiters for generating portamento effects - 8HP
Notes: Module A-170 contains two separate slew limiters, also known as portamento controllers or integrators. The first SL has just one joint control, which sets both rise and fall times (c. 0 ...10 sec). The second SL has separate controls for rise and fall times, and can therefore be used as a simple AR envelope generator. Over and above this, you can set the overall range for these parameters, with a three-position switch, as on the full ADSRs.

Both slew limiters have two LEDs each, to show the state of the rising and falling voltages.

Additional technical remarks: If the upper slew limiter is used for precision applications (e.g. portamento/glide of one or more VCOs) a buffer (e.g. A-185-1 or A-185-2) is recommended between the A-170 output and the VCO(s) input(s). The reason is a small voltage drop that is caused by the protection resistor at the A-170 output. An A-185-1 or A-185-2 connected between the A-170 and the VCO(s) avoids that voltage loss. For all A-170 manufactured later than May 2009 (recognizable by the label "Version 2" on the pc board) this remark is not valid as these modules are equipped with an additional voltage buffer at the output.

The lower slew limiter cannot be used for precision applications because of the voltage loss caused by the diodes of the circuit.

Module for processing/mixing of control voltages - 4HP
Notes: A-172 is a minimum/maximum selector module and is equipped with four analogue inputs and two analogue outputs (minimum, maximum). The main application of the module is the processing/mixing of control voltages, e.g. random voltages, ADSR, LFO, S&H, ribbon CV, theremin-CV and similar, but even for audio signal processing the module can be used (e.g. several outputs of the same or different VCOs).

The module permanently picks the maximum resp. minimum voltage out of the four input signals and outputs these voltages to the maximum resp. minimum jack socket.

To adjust offset and amplitude for each input independently (i.e. to bring the signal into the right "position" with the desired level) we recommend combining the module with the A-129-3 Slew Limiter/Attenuator/Offset Generator (see patch example below). The other sketch below shows the basic principle of the max/min module by means of three sine waves (e.g. three LFOs) with different frequencies and different levels.

The module can be used also as a simple half-wave rectifier.

Analogue delay module - 14HP
Notes: The A-188-1 series bases on a so-called bucket brigade device (BBD) that has been used in the pseudo-digital BBD-delays.

The version with 128 stages provides a delay time of 0.26 - 128ms and is great for Karpluss-Strong synthesis.

The module is not an entire delay but only its core with all anomalies (e.g. cross talk of the internal clock frequency), and its very independent spacey and raw sound.

There are modulation possibilities with invertible polaritiy, a dry/wet control, feedback up to self-oscillation and a feedback loop with insert.

Precision adder (mixer) and buffer for control voltages - 6HP
Notes: Module A-185-2 is a precision control voltage adder/buffer. Precision means that the amplification of the inputs without attenuators is exactly 1.00 and is suitable to add control voltages for the pitch control of VCOs (e.g. from keyboard + sequencer 1 + sequencer 2). Summing resistors matched to 0.1% are used to obtain an accuracy of 0.1% for the added voltages.

The module is equipped with four CV inputs: one with attenuator and three without attenuator. Each input is normalled to +1 V (i.e. if no plug is inserted the input contributes 1 V to the sum appearing at the output).

The input with attenuator can be used for common modulations (e.g. from an LFO, ADSR, Theremin, Pitch-Bender) for all VCOs connected to the output. The Lev.1 control is used to adjust the depth of the modulation, the first switch selects the polarity of the modulation. If no signal is connected to the first socket the attenuator works as a (fine) tuning knob because a voltage in the range 0...+1V (right position of the switch) or 0...-1V (left position of the switch) is added to the CV output.

The inputs without attenuators are planned to add control voltages coming out of keyboards, sequencers, Midi-to-CV interfaces, ribbon controllers or other CV sources that follow the 1V/oct standard. For example the CV of a keyboard can be used to transpose the CV coming from a sequencer, or the CV of a slow sequencer can be used to transpose the CV from a fast sequencer.

Each input is equipped with a three-position switch that determines if the corresponding voltage is added (right position), subtracted (left position) or if the input has no effect (centre position). If no plug is inserted the corresponding switch works as an octave switch for the lower three sections as the default 1 V are added or subtracted to the output voltage according to the switch position. The first switch can be used to add a variable voltage to the sum output. The variable voltage is adjusted with the Lev.1 control and the knob works then as kind of a (fine) tuning control.

The module is equipped with 4 outputs: three non-inverting and one inverting ouput. An internal jumper can be used to connect the non-inverted or inverted output to the CV line of the A-100 bus. That way the module can used to control several VCOs that are connected to the same bus board as the A-185-2 (same functionality as A-185-1).

Two CV/Gate to MIDI/USB interfaces, each with a common 1V/Oct CV transpose input - 10HP
Notes: Module A-192-2 contains two independent CV/Gate-to-Midi/USB interfaces. For each of the two sub-units these inputs are available:

- Gate Input (min. +5V)
- CVN Input (defines the Midi note number), 1V/octave standard, range 0...+10V (i.e. 10 octaves)
- CVV Input (defines the velocity value assigned to the Midi note message), can be used alternatively for Midi volume (CC#7), range 0...+5V
- CVC Input (free assignable to any Midi control change number), range 0...+5V

For both sub-units a common CV Transpose input is available (1V/octave, range 0...+10V). The voltage applied to this input is added internally to CVN before the Midi note number is generated. It can be used e.g. to transpose two sequences simultaneously by one voltage.

How it works:

Whenever the rising edge of the Gate input is recognized a Midi note on message is generated. The note number corresponds to the sum of the voltages applied to the CVN input and the common CV Transpose Input that is present at the rising edge of the gate signal.

Midi/USB-to-CV/Gate interface - 6HP
Notes: Module A-190-3 is a Midi/USB-to-CV/Gate interface that allows the integration of the A-100 system into a USB or Midi environment. It has available 4 analogue control voltage outputs (CV1...4) and one Gate output. A-190-3 is the modular version of Dark Link.

In/Outputs and controls:

- USB
- Midi Input
- Learn button
- Gate Out (with LED for Gate display and learn function), 0/+5V
- CV1: controlled by Midi note messages, 1V/Octave, 0...+5V
- CV2: controlled by Midi pitch bend, ~ -2.5...+2.5V or ~ 0...+5V (can be selected by an internal jumper)
- CV3: controlled by Midi velocity, 0...+5V
- CV4: controlled by Midi control change messages, free assignable controller in learn mode
- Glide control (portamento function for CV1)

Other Features:

- Midi channel, reference note and Midi control change number for CV4 are adjusted by means of a learn button and LED.
- By means of two jumpers CV1 and Gate can be connected to the corresponding lines of the A-100 bus. That way the VCOs A-110 or A-111 and the envelope generator A-140 can be controlled directly via the A-100 bus, i.e. it's not necessary to patch CV and Gate with cables between the front panels. In addition, CV1 is buffered, i.e. even several VCOs can be controlled by the A-190-3 without the need of an additional bus buffer (e.g. A-185-1 or A-185-2).
- The gate voltage can be set to +5V or +12V by means of two jumpers. For modules of the A-100 both voltages can be used. For modules or devices from other manufacturers the gate voltage has to be set accordingly.
- If you want to connect the gate output to devices that use S-Trig a special S-Trig cable is available. For details please refer to our FAQ page
- By means of the precise CV adder A-185-2 CV1 and CV2 can be added to obtain an adjustable width of the pitch bend. For this CV2 of the A-190-3 is connected to the upper input of the A-185-2 which has an attenuator available. CV1 of the - A-190-3 is connected to one of the other inputs without attenuator.

A-198 module with versatile ribbon controller
Notes: Module A-198 is a Trautonium Manual resp. Ribbon Controller. The controlling element of the A-198 is a linear position sensor (length about 50 cm) that has available a pressure sensor too.

Touching the sensor with a finger generates a control voltage CV1 that is proportional to the position of the finger. The scale (i.e. the relation between position difference and voltage difference) is adjustable with a potentiometer at the front panel. A hold switch is used to determine if the CV voltage is held after removing the finger (hold = on) or if the CV voltage jumps to 0V (hold = off). In the last case (hold = off) a gate signal is derived from the CV voltage whenever a finger touches the sensor (e.g. for triggering an envelope generator).

A sensitive pressure sensor located below the position sensor generates a second control voltage CV2 that increases with higher pressure of the finger. Even for CV2 the scale is adjustable. A second gate signal is triggered as soon as the pressure exceeds a certain value. The gate threshold is adjustable at the front panel.

The sensors are located in a separate metal frame (length about 600 mm, width about 30 mm, height about 18 mm, weight: about 900 g, colour: silver-grey). The connection between the module and the sensor frame is made by a 4 pin cable (same as used for USB connections).

Typical applications:

- Trautonium manual, the string is replaced by the position sensor that is much easier to use and cheaper than the string. In combination with the Subharmonic Oscillator A-113, the Trautonium Filter A-104 and some auxiliary modules a complete Trautonium replica may be realized. In combination with the Quantizer A-156 exact semitone intervals are possible.

- Ribbon Controller for any A-100 parameter

Voltage controlled bit modifier module for the Eurorack A-100 system
Notes: Module A-189-1 is a voltage controlled bit modifier. It offers several voltage controlled algorithmic functions like voltage controlled bit crunching, bit shifting (with/without carry over), bit exchange, rectifying, absolute value and calculating operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication or division.

The module has two control units both with manual control and CV input with attenuator:

- One for the algorithmic function according to the selected mode (e.g. number of shifted bits): BC and BC CV
- One for the sampling rate (SR and SR CV).

The signal input is equipped with an attenuator. As the module is DC coupled even control voltages can be processed.

The mode (e.g. bit crunching, bit shifting, bit exchange) is selected by a 16-position rotary switch.

MIDI-CV/Sync interface with multiple functions - 6HP
Notes: Module A-190-2 is an economically priced alternative to the MIDI-CV/SYNC interface A-190-1. It can be used in all cases where the additional features of the A-190-1 are not required (e.g. clock output, start/stop output). A-190-2 is the modular version of the established MCV4. Only some minor changes were made for a better adaption to the A-100 system, e.g. five 3.5 mm sockets, zero-symmetrical CV for pitch bend to be able to adjust the pitch bend range e.g. in combination with the precision CV adder A-185-2, glide function.

These are the most important features of the A-190-2:

- Midi CV/Gate interface
- Gate output 0/+5V
- CV1: this voltage is derived from incoming Midi note messages (0...+5V / 5 octaves), the glide control affects this CV output
- CV2: this voltage is derived from incoming Midi pitch bend messages (-2.5 ... +2.5V)
- CV3: this voltage is derived from the multiplication of incoming Midi volume messages and the velocity data of the note messages (0...+5V)
- CV4: this voltage is derived from a freely adjustable Midi control change message (0...+5V)
- Midi channel, reference note for 0V CV1 and the midi control change number for CV4 are adjusted by means of the learn button.
- Glide control: portamento/slew limiter function for CV1

By means of two jumpers CV1 and Gate can be connected to the corresponding lines of the A-100 bus. That way the VCOs A-110 or A-111 and the envelope generator A-140 can be controlled directly via the A-100 bus, i.e. it's not necessary to patch CV and Gate with cables between the front panels. In addition CV1 is buffered, i.e. even several VCOs can be controlled by the A-190-2 without the need of an additional bus buffer (e.g. A-185-1 or A-185-2).

Modulation wheel module with two wheels - 14HP
Notes: A-174-2 is a modulation wheel module with two wheels. The factory setting is a spring loaded wheel at the left side with bipolar voltage output (i.e. 0V in centre position, positive voltage in the upper range, negative voltage in the lower range, voltage range about -5.5 V ... 0V ... +5.5 V) and a wheel without spring at the right side with positive voltage output (i.e. 0V in the lowest position and positive voltage when operated, voltage range about 0...+8 V). For the spring loaded wheel a voltage "plateau" around 0 V is preset (jumper) so that the output voltage is 0 V in a small area near the centre position.

By means of jumpers the factory settings can be changed. For each wheel two jumpers are available: one for the voltage range (positive or bipolar) and one for the voltage plateau around 0 V. If these settings are changed even the wheels have to be re-adjusted mechanically. Therefore, such modifications should be carried out by a qualified person only. By request the module is available from the factory even with two wheels both with or without springs (additional charges Euro 10.00 for each change).

Important note for module mounting: As the potentiometer of the left wheel projects about 10 mm the rim of the front panel a 2 or 4 HP blind panel has to be mounted left from the module - unless the module left to the A-174-1 has sufficient space in this area (e.g. A-174-1).
