Review: Funkyjaws Music is back with more music to make your jaw go funky, this time in the form of a second volume of its Let's Dance series. It features a quartet of esteemed tune makers starting with Frank Booker's 'Yes No Maybe' which is a horn laced and loose-limbed delight, while go-slow master Eddie C brings his classy touch to the funky licks of 'Love Dancing Theme.' There are plenty of cosmic synth waves to Black Truffle's 'Dancing Through The Night' while the LTJ Xperience close down with a super laid back and summery vibe on 'Sunny Groove.'

This new one from Balearic man Max Essa with slow-motion maestro Eddie C is perfectly timed to arrive as days are getting longer and the sun is out more. It features four lush tunes that roll deep with languid chords, deft little funky guitar riffs and laidback vibes that douse you in all the feels. 'We Live In The Hills' is the standout for us with its fleshy synth work and a sprinkling of tropical percussion.

Review: The FunkyJaws Music label invites us deep into their world for a third time here with another delicious 12".It's a various artists EP that features one of our top disco favourites - Eddie C. He opens up with 'Do You Wanna Dance' which has vocals pacing about the mix and old school acid bass twangs under raw house drums. Elado's '25.4 Millimeters' is a Middle Eastern funk workout with spangled drum hits and the flip side brings twisted acid disco and the cosmic trip that is 'In Your Ear With It' from Funkyjaws themselves.

Review: Detroit/Houston joint venture Kolour are back with another instalment in the Tale Of Two Cities series - and this is one serious all star cast if we've ever seen it! The creme de la creme of nu-disco appears here, starting with crazy Canadian Eddie C kicking off the A side with the sunny slo-mo antics of "All Time Freak", followed by the one and only Napoleon! Simon Mills throws down some more of his usual sexy and lo-slung grooves on "Over & Done". On the flip, current scene favourite - the Whiskey Disco boss Sleazy McQueen teams up with Vinyl Addicted on a seriously hot edit of an underground classic (to those that know) on "Hot To Trot" while Lyon's Patchworks hands in another similarly 'respectful edit' on the sultry late night blues of "Batracien". Finally they head down under (to Adelaide, Australia that is!) for Le Blanc's funked up disco house jam "We Can Fly".

This time out the Canadian deep disco specialist kicks off his latest 7" with 'D8 With The Rain.' As always it is a super smooth groove that is smartly embellished with dusty old samples that tug at the heart. Review: Eddie C's Red Motorbike journeys on with another tasty 7" morsel from the boss himself, this time split with Elado. That is who goes first on the guitar licked, Americana tinged, disco dripped "Hipos" which is a perfect tune for gazing off at a distant sunset as you sway to and fro on an outdoor dance floor. Eddie C's "Crazy Heart" chugs a it harder, with busy melodic phrases riding up and down the scale over chunky drums. As always with Red Motorbike, this is grown up music for grown up dance floors, but that's not to say it isn't hella fun.

Review: A fantastic foursome from boozy beat peddlers Whiskey Disco, the "Another Love" EP features label mates old and new. Eddie C ignites proceedings with a chubby electro boogie fused jam that pops and rolls with big disco bubbles and obese synth bass. Slide down deeper to meet label newbie Scott M who's done some serious dancefloor damage with a well-known Vernon Burch track. Further on we hit the EP title track, a Chi-town-style jacker with filtered flurries and a timeless disco house message. Review: One hand-stamped 7" from Edward of C's Red Motorbike label, two totally different stories... "Farmer God" is a yarn of unfettered Balearic proportions. Languishing somewhere in the Wild West, 150 years ago, it's a lolloping composition where each nylon string weep is echoed by an equally mournful organ flurry. The chips-are-down soundtrack to any great western, it's Eddie at his most sedate and contemplative. "The Touch" brings us back to the present day by way of a sexy mid-tempo strut. All disco bubbles and overlayed pianos, this should really be a 10" just to accommodate the feel good vibes.

Get Down
Review: Having released some sublime beats on the now-folded Jisco imprint, the smart and savvy folks at the Sleazy Beats blog have taken Eddie C under their wing for this latest EP, available exclusively at Juno. From the idyllic town of Banff in Canada, there's a serenity and starry-eyed beauty to Eddie's midtempo disco that really sets him apart from the crowd right now.

Opening track Space Cadet layers dense strings over a popping bassline and keeps it all anchored to a deep 100bpm groove. Some louche piano riffing and gentle swathes of sampled rhodes give it a breezy edge, similar to 9 Lazy 9's seminal Electric Lazyland. One With The Stars notches up the tempo slightly, with Salsoul-style hats buzzing throughout and some soulful vocals sampled and looped over the top. Final tune Get Down plugs into Eddie's hip-hop roots, riding a beat that has the same bump and swing as Biggie's classic Hypnotize, coupled with some delirious piano action to boot.

Fans of The Revenge, Pete Herbert and Ray Mang will definitely appreciate where Eddie C is coming from with this strong, space-influenced release.

Review: The Africa Shakedown label coined one of last year's surprise hits with it's debut release, and the label's second release is likely to prove just as popular. Noema features once more and the Salon Zur Wilden Renate resident has collared contributions from Eddie C, Axel Boman and the Soft Rocks crew. Eddie C is first up with the irresistibly groovy "O Ye" which wouldn't look out of place on a Red Motorbike 45 dinker, whilst Noema conjures up the spirit of Bill Laswell on the dubby, scratchy production "The Shake". Studio Barnhus co-founder Boman is probably the biggest draw here and his rerub of the uncredited "Bayaya" should be familiar to anyone that's caught a DJ set from the fun loving Swede. Soft Rocks bring it home with the heavily delayed jammer "Disco Machine". Strong moves all round here sir.

Review: Berlin's most foremost Canadian exponent of disco sleaze Eddie C is back on home from home Endless Flight with the Want To Please 12"! It's been a busy year for Mr Edward Currelly so far with some produce on Red Motorbike and a contribution to the excellent Africa Shakedown series but it's nice to see the words Eddie C and Endless Flight together once again on a release sheet. The title track is a fine example of the ease with which Currelly merges elements disco with house, whilst there's a cosmic funk wedged deep in the beat down bliss of "First Chair". The real heat is on the B Side however with both "Help Me" and "Help You" two different variants on Eddie C playing around with a classic drum break.

Review: Our man from Banff Eddie C makes a welcome return to the Endless Flight imprint that's been the conduit for so much of the Canadian producer's finely judged disco escapades over the years. Commencing with "Tunnel Mountain", Mr Currelly is on epic form, expertly teasing out a simmering and emotion drenched melodic refrain over a woozy mid tempo structure that intermittently jacks with real energy. Alongside it "Banff Butt" sounds like rough Chicago house slowed down to an opiated pace, while flipside opener "Iceline" is a typically sumptuous gallop through thick layers of textured beatdown. Finally "Descent" mainlines intermittent twilight boogie vibes through the stripped back groove.

Review: Edit champion Eddie C serves up two brand new original works for Red Motorbike and they both scream summertime vibes. "Free Love" is a kind of Doobie Brothers / Ojays fusion with a tight funk groove and emphatic soulful vocals that aren't dissimilar to Isaac Hayes's backing band. "Far West" is much more languid, deeper and more cosmic thanks to its crisp guitar plucks, sun-bleached bass thumps and overall Krautrocky synth washes. Review: From the Edmonton-based edit party crew, "Common Edit 6" features two superbly spaced out slices of funk. "Sweet Nothing" is the more the dancefloor-focussed groove with a spider-like bassline that weaves a cosmic web over you while spiralling strings and reverbed horn toots cast all manner of spells upside your head. "Jupiter Dub" is the freakiest of the pair as a Wah Wah guitar plays the lead vocalist over an immense chugging bassline. There's nothing common about these cuts whatsoever.

It Goes Free
Review: That man from Banff Eddie C is lining up to release his second album, and second for Endless Flight, later this year and on the basis of this two track sampler Country City Country should be classed under corker! The Canadian leads with the sublimely cheeky "La Palette", a production where Brazil meets Chicago on the dancefloor as slick samba tinged percussion and a wonderfully drunken lead Rhodes keyboard line get busy over a rippling 808 groove. Complementing this, Eddie C goes eyes down on the drum funk beat down of "It Goes Free" which discards with any notion of slinky melody in favour of some good old jacking house rhythms and chaotic orchestral samples. Pretty much the perfect Endless Flight 12"!

Review: Rightly or wrongly, some believe that for an album to be truly great, it must take you on a journey. We're not sure yet whether Eddie C's second full-length, Country City Country, is a great album, but it's certainly something of a rollercoaster. Perhaps not a white knuckle ride, but certainly an undulating trip that bristles with vivid creativity and effortless dancefloor warmth. Given the Canadian's crate-digging sensibilities, it's no surprise to find that it's built around carefully chosen samples. Yet this is no mere cut and paste job. Beginning with a slew of lazy, slo-mo shufflers and tactile disco groovers, it sure-footedly works its way to a starlight deep house crescendo via drum machine electro, string-laden jack tracks and electric piano-laden jazz-funk jams.

Each of the four cuts is a highlight in its own way; Eddie C conjures up the spirits of Cevin Fisher with just a dash of Krivit keys, Alkalino's low-swung bass jacker is as sexy as disco gets, Cole Medina pilfers a very well-known sample and injects it with undiluted disco dust while Osmose closes the show with an ace edit of the Alan Parsons Project.

Review: KZA's ever dependable Let's Get Lost label welcomes Endless Flight regular and recent Berlin transplant Eddie C into the fold for a full release after the boy from Banff recently shared a side with the label boss on LGL No 15. Any worries that a move to Europe's techno mecca might have engendered a musical swerve to a Berghain friendly sound will be allayed when you hear what's on offer with these two tracks, plucked from the enviable collection of Mr C and tweaked for your dancing pleasure. Both untitled, the A Side is an oddly endearing Balearic number with off kilter handclaps and a big grooving bass line, but the disco lovers will head straight for the flip. A superbly masked edit of a Patrick Adams classic, the way Eddie C slowly reveals that classic string refrain is pure joy!

Review: This is 2nd single cut from the debut album "Parts Unknown" which will be released on 28 March 2011. "We Need We" on a1, this track is lovely soulful tune which remind Minnie Ripperton or Dennis Williams. "Space Shuttle"
The mid part of a trilogy of vinyl drops to accompany Parts Unknown, Eddie C's CD only album for Endless Flight, commences with the heavy soul stylings of "We Need We". Record buyers of a certain vintage will be expecting Minnie Ripperton to launch into "Black Gold Of The Sun" such is the similarity of the opening bars! There's a definite Rotary Connection vibe running through the track and it's backed with typically crunchy percussive touches from the Banff resident. This is complemented by the Norsedelic cosmiche bump of "Space Shuffle" which wouldn't sound out of place on Internasjonal. On the flip "Deepa" provides one of the most upwardly mobile moments from Parts Unknown with the crisp uptempo percussive strut underlined by a constantly building rhythmic momentum. The burning soul moog beatdown of "Listenin", delivered at head nod tempo, only serves notice of the Canadian's versatility.

Review: Endless Flight presents the final opportunity to indulge in a vinyl offering of tracks from Eddie C's fine debut album for the Japanese label with the lead track "I'm Sorry" a fine example of how to produce contemporary disco sounds. A devilish electronic organ rhythm wrapped around intricate house tempo beats drives the track as woozy orchestral flourishes rise from the ether. This is complemented by the grubby analogue chug of "Your Love" which features the heavily messed around with vocal talents of the Banff resident himself - definite Arthur Russel vibes on this one! The flipside brings the Noodleman embellished rework of "Starlight" which builds craftily into a full on vocal discoid delight! "Love Journey" brings The C man's talent for sumptuous multi textured beatdown to the fore with all tracks here a fine representation of what to expect on his album.

Track 4
Review: It's not rocket science to expect great things from Eddie C's debut on the Hometaping imprint - top label, top producer. "Tell Me" is driven by the core vocal sample which is wrapped in layer upon layer of typically intricate production. Crisp 808 syncopation drops in and out, string arrangements sit deep in the mix and the warmest of basslines running throughout gives the track that extra impetus. Tornado Wallace is employed to remix the track and adds a sheen of hissing Detroit deepness to proceedings, with late night synth lines and soaring chords floating atop the cavernous bass patterns of a slightly slower but just as impressive version. Special praise however is reserved for "Organised", the track that separates the aforementioned. A brilliantly sweaty organ riff is central to this jacking bit of warehouse fodder, with vocal samples and crowd noises cut up and slipped into the spaces between the pounding beat and throbbing bassline.

Dub Me Gwen
Review: "Do It Yourself" sees Endless Flight offer us and you an opportunity of what to expect from Parts Unknown, Eddie C's forthcoming debut album. The overriding sensation after listening will no doubt be an increase in anticipation! As with the Canadian producer's previous output, the three tracks present ably demonstrate Mr Curelly's almost nonchalant ease for crafting intricately layered disco bumps of varying tempos which are characterised by an inherent live sound. This is most apparent on "Do It Yourself", which is based around a naggingly familiar Philly disco track which never fully reveals itself thanks to the excellence of how Curelly implements it amidst the rasping groove. The tempo drops for "Pains Inside" which gradually unfurls from a bottom heavy groove into a saunter through late night melancholics that's held together by a fragile vocal loop. The sampler ends of a high with the gently undulating electric boogaloo acidisco of "Dub Me Gwen".

Review: Upfront copies of new Eddie C jams on the excellent Japanese label Sound Of Speed! There's always an undeniable class to any track the prolific Canadian producer puts his name to and that standard is definitely maintained on this sumptuous EP. "Migration" demonstrates the C Meister's ease at chopping samples, dicing up a string heavy soul track to fit the bumping mid tempo beat, whilst "Keepin On" is all mellow, closer to a butter hip-hop instro than disco! On the flip, "Give It To Me" jumps to a more familiar tempo marrying a infectious guitar led groove augmented by husky female vocals to a taut beat with plenty of drops into heavy filtered bass. The final moments are dedicated to the Rhodes heavy slo vibes of "Days Like These". Killer 12".

PBR Streetgang consists of Tom Thrope and Bonar Bradbery, whose names will be familiar to fans of Illija Rudman's Red Music imprint and Mindless Boogie. Opening track "Silas" builds from a slap bass loop into a fat and dirty disco house groover replete with synth wigouts. The PBR Streetgang refix of Eddie C's "Your Woman" is up next, with the duo tweaking out proceedings some three minutes before the vocal hook drops - some killer shuffling percussive edits on this one. On the flip side you get "Funny Money" a swaggering uptempo boogie bomb that takes its percussive cue from Boney M's "Sunny" and adds a shedload of bass stabs, guitar licks and funk grunts. UK duo Soft Rocks round things off nicely with a remix of "Funny Money" which goes for the jacking house approach.

"Smile Again" was recorded with Common Edit boss Dane in the studio time before Mr C strode across the Atlantic, revisiting The Torpoons project last seen on The Cosmic Muskrat 7" for a shamelessly uptempo romp through disco that's almost too big for such a small format. Here we find three cuts taken from his album Country City Country, each one polished in a completely different fashion. The edgy, shoulder barging electro jack of "It Goes Free" gets seduced into a much sexier, cosmic Terje-style groove by KZA, the twinkling jazz noodles and soft boompty-bomp of "La Palette" is given a much more uncompromising jack by Young Marco while Rune Lindbaek thaws out the obtuse iciness of "Eisbergen" for something much warmer and slinkier.

Review: Canada's foremost re-edit imprint continues to churn out the hits, largely by delivering dub disco and Balearic-tinged interpretations of long forgotten or little-known cuts. Common Edit regulars Dane and Khotin join forces on the A-side, delivering a sweet chunk of boogie-era synthesizer reggae ("Imho"), before heading futher towards peaktime territory with the low-slung, late night AOR disco of "System". They are sticking to the 7" format for this one, as Eddie splits the release with Moon Tan with two more slinky, late night grooves await and the scissors and tape are expertly wielded. Hand stamped, 7" vinyl only business. The first side is courtesy of boss man Eddie who serves up the deep and loungey disco business of "The Southern Nights". New York City duo Moon Tan are on the B side with druggy, lo-slung edit of "Gel Dust" which sounds like you've downed a bunch of Quaaludes on the living room dancefloor. Previous editions have served up resplices by fellow countrymen The Noodleman and Roberto, as well as Koosh and Cem G. Following in the tradition on his acclaimed 7 inches Of Love series.

Eddie C - "Don't Rush" (2:57)

El Molito - "Sunny Days In The Chocolate Factory" (5:08)
Review: Here's something of a rarity: a 12" outing from Canada's Common Edit, a label best-known for releasing sneaky 7" singles. Wisely, the label has decided to use the format to serve up more tracks - four, to be precise - with a swathe of scalpel wielding label talent at the controls. Cooper Saver and Patrick Holland kick things off via the Balearic boogie brilliance of synth-laden roller "How About", before Eddie C lights up something fat and fragrant, dips the tempo and goes all jazz-funk on Brazilian disco slow-jam "Don't Rush". Flip to the B-side for the majestic, Clavinet-laden peak-time disco rush of Dane's "Space Up Your Life" (chuckle) and the atmospheric Blaxploitation hustle of El Molito's "Sunny Days in the Chocolate Factory".

Review: It's time to kick off our shoes and socks once again as Brazilian sunshine soulsters Barefoot Beats present their sixth episode. Eddie C hops off his motorcycle for a second and dips his toes in the sand for a little Latin cosmicity while Rio duo Balako go all-in with a triumphant vocal hook, a vibrant electroid groove, staccato vocals and strong tones of cuica. Premium uncut Brazilian dancefloor gold.

Eddie C - "From Afar" (4:58)
Koosh - "Way Out If It Man" (4:22)
Review: The red engine's revving once again, and it's big enough to seat three men. Chief label racer Eddie C lays down a cosmic strut of eastern proportions with kaleidoscope whirls of kicks, pads and sitars. Joining him are familiar riders (Koosh) and new (Fraiser). The former lays down a bad trip DJ tool, all highs and cries and strange dubby textures. The latter provides the centrepiece: a chugging stately groove that opens up into pure sunshine soul when you least expect it.

Review: More headnod gold from everyone's favourite midnight rider Eddie C. "Space Glide" chugs away marvellously at around 92BPM with a bassline so wet and slimy it should come with its own 18 certificate. "Werewolf Invasion" maintains the hypnotic slo-mo momentum but added late night graveyard feels thanks to a grainy cosmicity and strange unworldly textures. Don't sleep.

Review: Canadian disco don and deep digger Eddie C has certainly come a long way since his days as a local DJ in Banff, Alberta. Now based in Berlin and joining a huge community of expat producers in the city, the On The Shore LP was indeed influenced by his new hometown. His studio being located right on the River Panke in Berlin's growing Wedding district; an area still not fully in the grasp of gentrification yet and it was these lovely and relaxing surrounds, being surrounded by fellow artists in the studios which fuelled inspiration for this release. Expect a mixed bag of all things slo-mo, low slung, deep and above all funky, for sure!

Roberto - "Safari" (4:11)
Eddie C - "Slippin' Away" (4:15)
Review: The latest sneaky 7" from Eddie C's Red Motorbike imprint is a split affair, with the Canadian producer being joined by sometime Conga Radio man Robert S (this time under the previously unused Roberto alias). The latter delivers "Safari", an unfeasibly tactile fusion of sensual, slo-mo beats, looped new age synthesizer refrains and sleazy, late night saxophone. In contrast, Eddie C's "Slippin Away" mines the world of disco-rock for inspiration, re-editing a chunky, break-driven, organ-laden groover and turning it into a real dancefloor treat. As he often does, the Canadian has added a touch of dub delay and a few filter sweeps to keep things cosmic.

Review: Marcel Vogel's ever-ready LIH imprint celebrates six years of juicy, sassy, often illicit disco soul with some of the label's best cuts to date. Ideal for filling any holes in your collection, the likes of Uptown Funk Empire's Pharoah Saunders cover "Freedom", Manmademusic's gospel-level "Circles", Eddie C's tweaking, freaking drum funk "What It Is", Stacy and Peven's stuttering funk "Body Jerkin" still slap and tickle just as stylishly and smoothly as they did when Marcel first prised them from the editor's clutches... And still will in 10, 20 or 50 years-time. Proper dancefloor clobber.

Review: Good thing there isn't much to do on the Canadian ski slopes during summer, as Eddie C seems to have spent the warmer months knocking out a steady stream of killer releases. The man from Banff has just dropped a delicious new 12" on Hometaping Is Killing Music, and here headlines a four track EP that also boasts new material from SE62, Tornado Wallace and Daniel Solar. Eddie's effort kicks off the A Side, with the deliciously funky rolling rhythms of "Move Me" ably supported by SE62's "Out There", itself drenched in Motor City atmospherics. Flip over for Melbourne's golden boy Lewie Day aka Tornado Wallace, who provides some hazy summer instrumentation on "Stop Holding Back", while the midtempo tropical funk Daniel Solar's "Into My Life" rounds off one of the best samplers we've heard in some time.

Review: A warm welcome back to everyone's favourite Berlin-based Canadian, exiled Ontarian Eddie C. He's in full-on, glassy-eyed Balearic disco mode on the A-side of this fine 45, his first of 2021. 'Believe in Love' is as luscious and warming as you'd expect, with the producer cannily combining sumptupus disco loops and pitched-up female vocal snippets with locked-in mid-tempo house beats and occasional energy-raising sample cut-ups. On the flip he takes his scalpel to Prince cut 'Forever In My Life', delivering a chugging, low-slung version that sounds like the Purple One jamming with Sottish loop-jammer the Revenge.

Review: Eddie C is the maestro of go-slow sounds and now he hooks up with Motor City Wine, with whom he has apparently had a long friendship. The prolific producer comes correct again with a joyful EP full of outdoor dancing highlights. 'For The People' is feel good, jazz tinged deep house for happy faces, then Eddie links with the West Coast's Murge for 'Pacific Jam', a deeper, more late night roller with melancholic chords. There is a steamy sense of tropicalia to 'Ama Zone' that locks you in deep, and playful, teasing loops on 'Dubbing Into Darkness' that will have crowds in raptures.

Review: Heralding brighter days is surely the job of Is It Balearic?, a label whose entire raison d'etre is silky smooth sounds for long days spent sipping cocktails on sunkissed terraces. This time around, Max Essa and Eddie C have gone head to head, with the former delivering the original tunes and the latter dropping the remixes. Essa gets into full-spectrum deep house for the baggy crowd on 'Jigsaw Moon', which Eddie C promptly pitch shifts and rubs down with some understated acid. 'Jules Y Cyntia' is a mellower offering, revelling in languid guitar, only to be gently pumped up by Eddie C with a heavy, chugging undercarriage to take you deep into the sundown.

Review: Craft Music's taste in sizzling hot party music is absolutely confirmed as razor sharp with this third instalment of edits and re-rubs with a twist. Far from vanilla re-arrangements, these re-versions get fruity with the source material and on Good For Dance there's a particular emphasis on acid. First up Scruscru & Aman Po-Kaifu get right down and dirty with Nigerian classic 'Salem' by The Funkees, whipping up a veritable storm with 'Acid Salam'. Next up Skitcut gets into a serious stomp laden with wriggling 303 action on 'Zaletaet Na Acid', and Funkyjaws has some fun weaving slamming claps and nimble bleeps into the brassy source material for 'Acid Circus'. Eddie C rounds things off with a proper rubbery acid tweaker which slips in smooth on 'Dysk Dzokej On Acid'. Classy stuff, and whole heaps of fun for those who love acid, those who love disco, and those who love both.

Review: Eddie C met fellow Berlin-based artist LJ Simon a couple of years back. The pair bonded over their joint love of "boogie-funk" (as Soul Clap put it) and soon the Canadian was in the studio remixing a couple of Simon's collaborations with vocalist Idriss. Now presented on this "45" as a vinyl-only release, those two mixes are well worth checking. On side A you'll find 'I Wonna Know' [sic], a delicious fusion of Soul II Soul style street soul, tactile boogie synths and grandiose orchestral disco samples topped off by a fine lead vocal. The flipside dub of 'Rendez-Vous' is arguably even better - a jaunty boogie-reggae affair piled high with colourful synth sounds, echoing vocal snippets and toe-tapping beats.

It's quite a mixed bag yet it still remains consistent throughout, whether it's the deep chug of Canadian Eddie C's meditative 'Winter', TCB's descent into the cosmic hole on 'Spring' or Sardinian hypnotic techno expert Claudio PRC's icy dub techno soundscape (ironically) titled 'Summer' - you will definitely experience four seasons in a day on Fall Winter Spring Summer Vol 1.

He now makes a welcome return, this time with the go-slow king that is Eddie C. Between them they cook up a perfectly low-slung tune in 'Little Boxes.' Review: Lovedancing's latest missive is something of an all-star affair, with Canadian hero Eddie C and Whiskey Disco boss Sleazy McQueen contributing tracks alongside Colombian producer Felipe Gordon and fast-rising scalpel fiend Vagabundo Club Social. The latter joins forces with Gordon for the deep house/deep Latin disco fusion of "Basilio" - all jammed-out Rhodes riffs, heavily percussive grooves and chanted vocals - which is in turn re-imagined as a horn-heavy Latin disco-funk workout by Eddie Stomp. The Vagabundo returns to action alongside regular studio partner Sleazy Mcqueen on B-side opener "Chips Y Salsoul" - warm and deep disco-house vibes with added trumpet solo action - before Eddie C rounds things off with the shuffling, string-laden disco-house loveliness of "Be There".
