An unknown artist is behind the sunny shuffle and big horns of 'This Kind Of Latin Rhythm' while Thierry Tomas's 'Samba' is a shuffling house cut laden with glorious piano work. Funkyjaws then offers up his take on tango, Scruscru layers up the rhythms and percussion on 'Juicy Brass' and Frank Virgilio's 'Portrait Of You' shuts down with a deeper late-night feel. These are some superbly effective Latina house jams to drop on the hottest of days and balmiest of nights.

Review: Ame's Innervisions label has joined forces with Philomena here for a 15th release in its series. This one kicks off with an Ivory remix of Fever Ray's 'Shiver.' The leftfield electronic artist who is also part of The Knife has a distinctive voice, to say the least, and that shines out here as shimmering chords radiant around it and over a proggy groove. The flip side offers up and unknown artist with 'Track 2' which has a familiarr vocal left to hang in the air above a cold, snappy tech rhythm. It's the sort of quietly anthemic cut Ame are known for dropping at special moments.

Review: Hold tight all junglists - Bring Back has some serious firepower in store for you. Sampling Twin Peaks to perfection, "Luv This Music" is an impeccably executed slice of darkside rave with Angelo Badalamenti's eerie jazz clashing up against evil hardcore stabs and mangled breaks. Providing the foil to the ruffage on the first track, "Sweet Murda" lays down some tender melodic tones that quickly give way to a moody, heads down roller for the emotional crew. This is classically executed jungle by someone who knows what they're doing, and whether you're a seasoned head or a newcomer to the sound you need this in your life.

Review: Nodding to the days of widespread dance anonymity, where the focus was firmly placed on the music rather than reputations and brand hype, Bring Back's fourth release is soaked in hardcore and jungle tones in keeping with both the mysterious artist tip and the label's name. Basically music to make you sweat. 'Night Selector' is perhaps the least rave-y of the lot, and that's saying something considering its stretched amens and mysterious, futurist ambience. 'Light In Ghetto' throws itself fully into the revivalist movement, beautiful female lyrics and pitched vocal cuts crying out over a rhythm section that's stripped enough to make room for choppy, distorted keys. 'Lobster', meanwhile, plays with time signatures, paying respect to the roots of these sounds- dub and soundystem culture- in between full-throttle nastiness.

Review: While there may be bordering on absolutely no information present on the first 12" on Bring Back, it shouldn't take too long to work out what kind of premise you're dealing with here. "Jungle Raider" does exactly what it says on the tin, mining a classic salvo of breaks and samples for a lovingly crafted wormhole straight back to the mid 90s. It's as classically styled a slice of old-skool jungle as you could ever wish for, with enough flair to stand proud on its own as well. As an extra treat the B side is laden with classic samples for the more nimble fingered DJs to get fresh with.

Review: The mystery of identity disco sniper still kept wrapped up tightly, Schenkelspreizer's spread widens once more with a third volume. "DMIFS" lets rip with a string sample that's borderline ridiculous in its vibrancy and feel-good factor. "LH" blows in the wind of change with salacious slap bass and 70s haze while "EC" brings us back down to reality with cloudy filtered R&B waves. More shots fired.

Review: *REPRESS* Word on the street is DC imprint Future Times has plenty of twelve inch shaped heat ready to be unleashed this year, and if every record they put out is as good as this one sided house blend then 2012 will serve Max D and co well. According to the press release, "Untitled" by Unknown has apparently been a Beautiful Swimmers set staple and it's not hard to see why. A 2009 Running Back release gets rewired and flushed with the signature damp synthesizer sound by "a close friend" of the label resulting in a hypnotic tropical jacker that will find plenty of love in many a record box.

Review: The last "Untitled" Future Times white label release arrived in 2012, a record that we now know, thanks to the eagle-eyed searchers of Discogs, featured a Hunee edit of "Re-Mida" by Don Carlos. We don't know what kind of material features on this new "Untitled" release from the label, but the bumping hip house rhythm and vocal combo and lush '80s analogue bassline suggests some kind of vintage material has gone under the knife to create this track. Regardless, this one-sided 12" is another essential cut from the DC-based operation.

Review: International Feel return with a new transmission primed for the Ibizan summer evenings in the shape of Sketches From An Island. When a record leads the likes of Jose Padilla to proclaim "this is what I call Balearic. Fresh & Sweet" or Toddney Terje to call it "mucho Balearic," you should have an idea of what to expect. And true to form the three tracks here glisten with a sun kissed vibe that makes you feel that label founder Mark Barrott made the right move trading the Punta Del Este for Ibiza, unfurling in a horizontally inclined manner similar to much of the music that the aforementioned Padilla included on his early Balearic defining mix tapes.

Review: Bring Back keep their flawless run of white label junglisms up with this fresh drop from an unknown operator who sounds more than comfortable dicing up breaks in a strictly old-skool style. The A side leads in with "Salute", a rough n' tough roller laced with atmospheric keys that help it come on like the gully end of the Good Looking legacy. On the flip, Dwarde and Tim Reaper come correct with a remix of "Sweet Murda" which originally appeared on BRINGBACK002. Their take is a rolling, deep diving tripper with a rugged drop where it counts. The record rounds off with a nervy trip out in the shape of "Badman Biz", which gets into a more experimental frame of mind, but not at the expense of the beats.
