The Wave Transformer is a complex single oscillator with 7 audio outputs. Its method of wave shaping differs from other complex oscillators in that it is not based upon classic wave folding such as is common in West Coast synthesis, or filtration such as is common in East Coast synthesis.

This analogue, vintage-voiced, voltage-controlled oscillator features over 8 octaves of accurate pitch tracking. Its 7 simultaneous wave outputs include a unique Complex output. This strange and novel output varies between a simple waveform (triangle, unless you patch a signal into the Shape Insert jack) and a complex transformation of the harmonic structure of the original waveform. It contains a unique mixture of the fundamental frequency, odd order harmonics, even order harmonics and subharmonics. The Sub Octave panel control will determine whether the sub harmonics are derived from one octave down, two octaves down, or are muted altogether. It will vary from a simple waveform to a silhouette of your cat watching you as you react to a "present" that it left for you on the counter. No, seriously.

The module's Transform control morphs from a basic waveform through many strange iterations into a complex, gnarled mass of audio mutations at the Complex output using an asymmetrical multi differential audio transmutation circuit. You can yield countless variations on these permutations by combining this novel circuit with Hard Sync, Soft Sync, Linear FM and Exponential FM.

Additionally, you can mute the source waveform to use the circuit as a harmonic gate/VCA, rendering the Wave Transformer a voice unto itself.

If that is not enough, there is a Shape Insert that allows you to transform external oscillations and modular-level audio sources.

Years in the making and the first of its kind, Cosmosis is a stereo, high-fidelity ambient reverb that allows musicians to tailor three original spaces-Theatre, Temple, and Cosmos-as well as manipulate them in real time. In addition to controls for the size of the reverb, wet/dry blend, and filtering, Cosmosis features a unique Morph function that allows musicians to alter their reverb settings in real-time by pressing the left footswitch. The three space algorithms found inside of Cosmosis are all-original and truly unique. Theatre puts the player in a variable room that ranges from cozy to highly reflective using multiple parallel short reverberators. Temple occupies a dramatic, large indoor space by implementing numerous long reflections in both parallel and series. And Cosmos creates an enormous spectrum of heavenly reverb derived from the harmonic content it's fed. The Morph feature found in Cosmosis provides a simple way for players to trigger a gradual change to various reverb parameters over a specified amount of time set by the accompanying Morph Rate knob. Players can set both "red" and "green" values on their Tone, Blend, and Size knobs, then engage the Morph footswitch to oscillate between the two reverbs at their desired rate. Any combination of knobs can be assigned to morph. Create elegant morphs for subtle movement or sweeping, cinematic morphs for dramatic sound design effects. Save up to four custom reverb presets, including morphing. Cosmosis runs on standard 9VDC power.

Size: Sets the size of the reverb space.

Blend: Sets the balance between wet (reverb) and dry (clean signal)

Tone: Clockwise from noon, this control applies a high-pass filter, making the reverb sound brighter. Counter-clockwise from noon, this control applies a low-pass filter, making the reverb sound darker.

Morph Rate: Sets the time it takes for parameters to change between "red" and "green" values when the Morph footswitch is engaged.

Morph: Enable morphing for any combination of the 4 on-board knobs. Push to toggle through knobs, press and hold to select. Press and hold again to deselect.

Preset Select: Push to toggle through 4 pre-loaded presets, press and hold to select. To save a custom preset after making changes, press and hold. Presets can also be toggled and selected using only footswitches (see manual).

The three unique space algorithms found inside of Cosmosis are entirely original and comprise a combination of primary source impulse responses, imagined reflections, and inspired mathematics. Theatre is a vintage-inspired small room sound ranging from cozy to reflective; Temple is a rich and flowing larger space featuring long reflections in both parallel and series; and Cosmos makes use of divine inspiration to create an enormous spectrum of harmonically-informed reverb. This Pedal combines a three-control blues driver circuit with two switches for the voicing of Drive and Tone characteristics. Full Range Overdrive - Germanium Toggle Switch

The MUSE DRIVER combines JFET saturation, diode clipping, and op-amp clipping in order to create its harmonically rich tone. Drive Switch UP for AT Clipping - this mode features asymmetrical LED and silicon diode clipping and is Andy's Super AT Mod sound. Notes: CV Random is a random CV generator with 4 types of randomness and a triggerable sample-and-hold function.

Sliders allow you to set the internal clock tempo (RATE), shape the probability of triggering (PROB), blend old with new values (RND) and set the shape of all four random outputs (SHAPE).

RATE

Sets the tempo of the internal clock. The CV input below the slider adjusts the clock rate, with 1V/oct calibration when the CV attenuverter is 100%. Upon each clock trigger, the RATE slider light blinks, and there is a chance for the internal random source to generate a new value.

PROB

This probability is set by the PROB slider, and if a new value was generated, the PROB slider light blinks and a pulse is emitted from the TRIG output.

RND

When the internal random source generates a new value, it mixes the previous value with a random value, with an amount specified by the RND slider.

SHAPE

The SHAPE slider sets the shape of all four random outputs. At its lowest position (0%), all outputs immediately jump to the new random value (the target value) when the clock is triggered.

At non-zero positions, the outputs interpolate between the previous and the target value, using a different behaviour for each output.

Internal random clock source

Whenever the clock activates, the RATE slider's light flashes. At the same time, there's a chance that the internal random source will create a new value, depending on the PROB slider's setting.

If it does create a new value, the PROB slider's light flashes too, and a pulse comes out of the TRIG output.

External IN & TRIG inputs

If the TRIG input is patched, the RATE slider is ignored, and the internal clock is only triggered when an external trigger is received. The PROB slider is used to filter this trigger by applying some probability.

Self-modulation

Thanks to a switch in the back of the module, you can normalize the LIN output to the 4 CV inputs and adjust the amount of modulation for each parameter with the attenuverters.

This adds another layer of randomness to your results, enabling more dynamic and unpredictable outcomes.

SHAPE Outputs

The STEP output jumps to the new value in one step at 0% SHAPE, and divides the transition into 16 steps at 100% SHAPE.

The LIN output immediately reaches the new value at 0% SHAPE, and takes the whole clock cycle to do so at 100% SHAPE, staying constant in between.

The EXP output shifts exponentially, becoming linear at 100% SHAPE, with its pace adjusted by the SHAPE slider.

The SMTH output transitions smoothly, with the speed controlled by the SHAPE setting, holding at the target until the cycle ends.

Review: Famously first released in 1973 and transferred to CD in the 1980s with no significant remastering, the Beatles two colour-coded 'best of' collections have long been in need of an overhaul. Apple has typically gone all-out on this 50th anniversary re-issue, not only remastering everything (or at least those tracks that hadn't already been tweaked by Giles Martin in recent years), but also expanding each collection to three discs via the addition of other fan favourites and tracks that missed out first time round. As for the vinyl itself, it has been half-speed remastered to guarantee superior sound quality. Perform a variety of mixing and sound design duties ranging from subtle brightness and clarity adjustments to low-end rumble removal, boosted low-pass filtering and sweep EQ.

With only 6hp, Mapvolt is a multipurpose tool for voltage-controlled scaling, inverting, offsetting, subtracting, and mixing functions.

Each channel of MapVolt can operate in either Polarizer or Attenuator mode, allowing manual control via knobs or CV signals. In Polarizer mode, it functions as a Voltage Controlled Attenuator-Inverter, granting control over signal level and polarity. Additionally, it can be used as a Four-Quadrant Multiplier or Ring Modulator for audio signals, with the processor input serving as the carrier signal and the polarizer's CV input acting as the modulator.

In Attenuator mode, MapVolt operates as a VCA, providing control over signal levels. Its VCA CV input range of +5/-5 makes it well-suited for amplitude modulation (AM) with other +/-5V waveforms.

The exponential envelopes are specifically designed to generate dynamic percussive tones. The unique linking function connects the end of one envelope's decay to the trigger of the next, enabling the subsequent envelope to activate once the previous one ends. This innovative feature allows you to create ratcheted envelope.

A front-panel trimmer lets you adjust the threshold for triggering subsequent envelopes, while a rear header enables connecting two Ricochet modules together, or linking the last envelope to the first. A few years ago ZVEX Effects released the Candela Vibrophase, a candle-powered vibrato/phaser machined from solid brass and glass that used a mix of 1800s technology (a Sterling heat engine) and 60s/70s audio circuitry to create a lovely swirling effect. After numerous requests to put that sound into a guitar pedal, they came up with a way of dramatically broadening the spectrum of textures available using the original circuitry from the Candela.

It's presented to you here as the Vibrophase, a five-knob four-stage phaser that creates phase and vibrato nuances never heard before. Five knobs! Count 'em! Speed sweeps from maddeningly slow to puppy dog flippy, vibrato/phase sweeps from, erm, you'll figure that out, feedback sends the output back through the phaser again to raise intensity, and there are controls for the top end and bottom end of the sweep so you can completely tailor the sound to your song.

Notes: Customized to transport and protect the new Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 and DDJ-400 Controller. Crafted from 9 mm vinyl laminated plywood, sturdy aluminium profiles and heavy duty butterfly latches, it provides you with secure transport and workstation in one. Thanks to the integrated gliding laptop platform and the convenient cable access port, the setup is ready for action in no time at all.
