Review: Cardiology came to light earlier this year with a sure shot from Yann Polewka, and now returns with more upfront disco house delights courtesy of Julio Cruz. Title track "What Is It About U" is a heart-stirring peak time pumper that matches disco romanticism with a forthright rhythm section, while "No One" gets a little more looped up without losing that heavy dose of soul. "Honey" keeps things cyclical and strutting - a perfect edit-heavy workout for the heat of the night. "Be Around" takes things deeper, shedding the disco tones for a more techy flavour that still matches with the upfront mood on the rest of the record.
Review: Yuzo Iwata has made one prior appearance to date on Pluie/Noire in 2018. This EP for Malin Genie's label finds him exploring further deep cover plains of expression through the medium of experimental house and techno, leading in with the rippling textures and haunting piano refrain of "Spoit." The delicate gamelan chimes of "Mount Castle" that follow collide with rugged drum machine beats and artful sonic interference, while "Tiger" fuses jagged off-centre beats with gnarled acid lines and fluttering melodies lingering in the middle distance. "Touch" seals the deal on this highly distinctive EP with a writhing, organic mass of sound design strapped to a forthright four to the floor stomp.
Review: DUNGEON MEAT are back with the 2nd instalment of their Weapons Of Ass Destruction series featuring another 3 killer club cuts ready to detonate any dance floor . Featuring Honey Dijon's sleazy house jam sounding like the love child of Terry Francis and Derrick Carter while Desert Sound Colony comes in hard with a futuristic speaker freaker that will heavily wobble the bassbins and people's chins with it's killer bass line .... Then to round off the EP we have Slapfunk's Danielle Temperilli dropping a sleazy UK Garage stepper that pushes the sound further into the future and is sure to get those gun fingers firing all over the dance floor and a few rewinds here and there . Once again Dungeon Meat give the DJ's plenty of beef for their bag and deliver another chunky selection that will surely do the damage .
Review: Mysticisms' is delighted to reissue Nail's timeless debut release, Cassiopeia. Appearing on the DiY Collective's 'Strictly 4 Groovers' compilation album for Warp Records in 1993, the original appears as a stand alone at last and is backed with a specially created 2019 Remix. Starting in 1989 and centered around Nottingham, the collective, also known as DiY Sound System, were a focal point for the burgeoning house scene in the midlands. Promoting an alternative take on post-acid house's creeping commercialisation, DiY kept to simple ethos of good music and a good party and were at the forefront of the new Free Party movement. Alongside parties, the collective set up a studio and label and young Neil Tolliday was introduced by in-house engineer Damian Stanley. 'Nail' was born and during studio downtime, the 18 year old wrote Cassiopeia around the S1000 sampler, Juno 106, Oberheim Matrix 1000 and Roland SH101. Cassiopeia became the stand out inclusion on the compilation and rightly, is still highly prized. Fitting in and outside the Deep House vibe DiY were known, it fuses elements of ambient and even trance, with a beautiful arpeggio and vocal sample atop simple, but killer bass line and claps. Tolliday's 2019 Remix is a fitting accompaniment, stretching towards dub techno before house kicks back perfectly for today's heads. Bounce the Mystery.
Review: The second release from Music Makes Us is produced by a young, up and coming producer from Leeds. Einerlei has an unrivaled ability to create long revolving landscapes of techno, which over the course of the track take you on a journey, adding subtle elements as you listen, but retaining the core rif. This ability to create a whole piece of music out of a simple melody may seem simple in its delivery, but as you listen you notice the varying layers that make up these two driving dub techno tracks.
Review: This next release in the Exchange line we teamed up with Minneapolis label Open Sound to bring you something very special. For years, Minneapolis and Detroit have had a very special connection. We decided to bring two artists to tell a tale of the two cities. Three amazing tracks from Detroit's house maestro Javonntte (Traxx Underground, Quintessentials, Lets Play House, Defected) and two tracks from Minneapolis's own Lowry boys (aka Aaron Bliss of Havens & Hart and Open Sound's ACG) with a special little DJ tool thrown in for fun! To top it off we pulled in the genius himself to mix down and remaster the tracks Mr. Kevin Gorman aka Adesse Versions at Versions Mastering for that extra umff!
Review: In the early nineties, directly influenced by the Summer of Love of 1988, Florentine Riccardo Falsini began his project I Believe-a miscellaneous collection of records, compilations, and collaborations-released through his label Interactive Test (co-run with brother Franco Falsini).
These sounds would eventually reach Vancouver-based producer AVR (Avery La Rochelle) in the summer of 2018. Compelled by Riccardo's legacy as a producer and a deejay, Avery reached out to the Italian producer.
A friendship formed that would see them collaborate on various dance events in Vancouver, as well as their Outside Of Time EP, a reverie of hallucinatory trance music. Over the past year, the duo recorded these tracks with the free spirit of early rave culture in mind.
Outside Of Time is certified dance floor therapy that inspires the listener to believe in the power of love and music.

Getting straight back into the stride they hit on 'Different Strokes', the duo land a double whammy of deeply swung grooves laced with airy Detroit influences.
Laying down the law with "Straight to the Source", the pair conjure up a cheeky homage to the garage influenced sounds of the late 90's. Featuring a full level of bass in your face, jacking beats and super catchy off kilter stabs - there's no mistaking a groove like this... they really do mean business.
On the flip they revisit 'Hypnotonic.' The "West Side Shuffle" version is similarly sparse in feel to the original, yet strikes a fresh balance as less pervasive percussion bounces around to tight rhythmic bass end pulses, dubbed up vocals and subtle effected tweaks. Continuing to capture a less frenzied moment, this new take will certainly please the heads down massive.
Review: Russ Gabriel founder of Ferox Records and the house music label - Soul On Wax Communications is one of the U.K.'s most respected producers, having recorded nearly one hundred EPs and several albums since 1991.
His recent debut release The Controller on the respected Firescope Records continued his record of outstanding releases. He now arrives on Subconscious Algorithms with 4 slices of deep classic motor city techno. From the opening track "16 hours" with lush pads and electronic funk and "Dromedary" with deep grooves and dose of acid to "Photoa" we are in Detroit territory. The closing track "End of Doubt" adds something extra, with a more European electro feel and hints of a darker sound and rounds of the record perfectly.
Review: To accompany the reissue of Man Jumping's Jumpcut album, Emotional Rescue offers 2 remix EPs that showcase the band's music with versions by contemporary producers.
Starting with stalwarts and friends in duo Khidja, it's not often you can put together a reissue that modern day wunder producers have requested, however, that is precisely what occurred. Badgering over several years about their love of Man Jumping and how they should be revered, when the call came that the reissue was happening, Khidja were the first names down.
After breaking through on sister label [Emotional] Especial way back in 2013, the pair have gone on to much acclaim with releases for Malka Tuti, Hivern Discs and DFA to name (drop) a few.
Handed the tapes, their love of Man Jumping's virtuoso playing is evident in these amazing remixes. Walk On, Bye takes its Reich meets Pop aspirations and drifting across 9 minutes of laidback but bass heavy rhythms, intricacies of clarinet, sax and trumpet are stretched and fused to repetition perfection.
Following, Down The Locale's jazz roots is developed, recast and updated, extenuating the bass, while piano and vocals interplay over scattered, skipping drums to become a latter day 'contemporary dance' odyssey.
Review: After the 4 young producers completed their second Hamburg residency, they enjoyed increasing popularity in Liverpool with the growing re-edit movement. However, they were also growing tired of the monotony of numerous appearances at the same clubs night after night. In November 2018, during one of the group's frequent performances at Sugar Night Club, they encountered Driller, a local record-label owner and club owner. He later recalled: "I immediately liked what I heard. They were fresh, and they were honest, and they had what I thought was a sort of presenceA... star quality.
Review: Default Records has returned with its second release after compiling a roster of artists who are committed to establishing presence in the scene by pushing boundaries and pursuing excellence. Camelia starts us off on the A side with *Transferring*, which presents itself in a light and airy atmosphere. Its playful percussive notes are juxtaposed against its hypnotic groove making for a warm and easy listen. Macarie follows with *Flu*, a vibrant and dance-inducing sludge of gritty, piercing elements that seamlessly blooms into an emotional melody that is driven by its tantalizing rhythm. Label boss Exander shows the heavier side of his creative spectrum on the B side with *Odyssey*. The fullness of this cut accompanied by its intriguing and directive vocal is only enhanced by its delicate features and attention to detail. Closing out the compilation is Lulla's *Distort Time* which reveals all its insides with a symphony of glitchy bleeps and blops all reinforced by a cadence of drums and groove that stirs it into an electric soup.

Review: Lowless is pleased to present the launch of a new compilation serie called Confluence including four deep and dub techno tracks mainly inspired by the nature. Dycide - Raijin : In a stormy yet positive atmosphere with a specific bass line Dycide recreates the ancient thunders of Raijin, the god from the Shinto religion in Japan. Daniel[i] - A Moment Of Confidence : this Rolling track mixing field recording and dubby synths, delivers a frenetic and melancholic feeling. Cyspe - Morning Revelations has emerged during the first ever Cyspe live set back in 2013 as the morning sunshine came into the club it crystallised into sonic revelations. Atomic Moog - Floating Motion has a cold groove, jostling and simultaneously mixing notes, loops and sound design with frequencies flowing through the very same hypnotic, dark atmosphere and mood.
Review: Bonnie & Klein return to IIB with a gem of a track. Reminiscent of a lost alan parsons instrumental. The track meanders its way to a lovely guitar solo before the hypnotic synth parts carry us away.Already tried and test at La Torre perfect for the discerning sundowner.Ron Basejam excels on his remix, upping the tempo and delivering an awesome yacht disco bomb.
Review: Time for the host to show up: HomeMadeZucchero co-founder Giesse gets in the game with a one track EP plus Demdike Stare's rmx able to fully scan one composition from two absolutely different perspectives. Main track Goji is a deep and overwhelming embrace among decadent IDM sounds, grooves oscillating between jungle and drum'n'bass, and rarefied atmospheres based on vague hip-hop reminiscences turned into echoing and saturnine shards.
The remix brought by Demdike Stare, strips the original piece to its bare bone by subtracting elements and shaping everything in three different blocks, working like independent acts that climax in a stunning drums maelstrom and resolves into a dramatic ending tending to a relentless sonic collapse.
Review: Inner Shift Music is proud to welcome back Jacksonville aka Chris Lyth, who was last seen on the label with the successful Fragments EP. Machines of Loving Grace is aptly named with four stunning tracks we have come to expect from studio maestro Jacksonville. The title track Machines of Loving Grace pulls no punches and takes you on a captivating voyage with its unique blend of vocal lines, chords, bassline, broken beats and percussive sounds. This is followed by Nepune 4; a cosmic spacey hypnotic track with acid lines and a harder 4/4 beat. On side B the track Sebastopol Rd has a gorgeous depth with its warm chords and vocal line over a deep house rhythm that takes you on a mesmerising journey. The EP finishes with a nod to Jacksonville's first EP on the Inner Shift label with Fragment 7, this track has a more ethereal feel with subliminal synthesised pads interweaving over a vibrant dance beat.

Review: No Fuss Records returns with the 2nd release in their vinyl series with another quality 3 tracker. On the 2nd outing we see the likes of veteran producer Crispin J Glover, Dean Zepherin & label owners Saison. A1 is a remix of Crispin's "The Long Goodbye" from Saison. The duo offer their trademark sound of bumpy beats and jazzy riffs. A2 is Crispin's "Prospect Place". A song that travels through the deeper, darker, and disco sides of House. B3 sees the likes of Dean Zepherin's "Betty" classic feel good House Music at its best.
Review: Remastered reissue of a double A-side classic by LAMA a studio project from 1983. Both tracks here are killer electro/italo tracks well worth their weight in gold. Love On The Rocks is a electro-fied cover of Lucio Battisti's original disco smash "Il Veliero."
On the flip we have the dark apocalyptic feel offered by "Nineteen Ninety Three".
