Review: Drumcode supremo Adam Beyer has become increasingly more prolific in recent years, signalling a creative renaissance that recalls the undoubted quality of his work in the late 1990s and early 2000s. His first outing of 2024, which follows a quartet of EPs last year, is predictably strong and packed to the rafters with future Drumcode anthems. Fittingly, he starts with 'Let's Begin', where mutilated vocal loops, mind-mangling rave noises and unsettling melodic motifs dance atop a typically thunderous and breathless big room techno groove, before opting for a dirtier, acid-flecked groove, metallic noises and sped-up hip-hop vocal samples on 'Computerized' (hip-techno anyone?). To round things off, he goes darker and denser still on the loopy techno power of 'Red Room', which pleasingly also boasts the same Aisha vocal sample as the Orb's 'Blue Room'.

Review: Kaiserdisco bring some big room techno energy to the one label in the world that is most synonymous with that sound - Adam Beyer's Drumcode. Opener 'In The Music' is a dark and driving cut with an acid tinged bassline over hard, hammering, flat footed drums. Add in a dark vocal hook and you have a real monster. 'Error In The System' on the flip is another moody techno pumper for the main room with hefty drums, eerie siren sounds and of plenty squelchy designs. It's a real headwrecker to close out a big 12".

Review: Befitting of the label's name, Drumsauw aka. Joseph Sutherland keeps to the Code with a fresh three-tracker of megatechno heaters. Starting things off with the entraining but no less driving dreamer 'Focus', we're met with riveting sixteenthy knocks and dour breakdowns, a formula devoutly followed throughout; the B offers up two further alarmist pummellings of the third kind, with 'Set Back' repeatedly jabbing the podiatric floor with pressurised weight-kicks and offhand "push it" voxxes, and 'Escape' continuing to sound said alarm while insisting that we "escape" the laboratory, now quarantined to sift out those hesitant to dance.

Review: Adam Beyer's Drumcode remains out in front of the pack when it comes to big room techno. Whether going to new school artists or old school legends the results are always the same - epic and explosive. This time out we get both on one EP with Teenage Mutants going first with 'Dark Clouds (feat Heerhorst & Peter Pahn). It has synths fired from a hadron collider as they shoot over the face of the acid and bass-laced drums. On the flip side is the mighty Slovakian Umek with 'Footmachine,' a dark and heavy banger with flat-footed drums and all sorts of cosmic synth turbulence. Potent stuff for sure.

Review: Adam Beyer's notable techno label Drumcode seems to be as busy as ever of late. The label here rolls out a fourth part of its ongoing A Sides series, which is now up to volume 12. Though the Swede himself doesn't feature, some of his trusty sidemen do starting with Chris Avantgarde who brings big room, hard techno energy to 'The Last Time'. Bry Ortega keeps it just as intense with the machine-gun like synth fire of 'Discover 9', Massano brings some brighter synth loops to the stomping 'Betraya' and Spektre shut down with a mix of hardcore, trance and techno potency on 'Too Far Gone.' Some great DJ weaponry here, for sure.

Review: Adam Beyer seems to be in a superb run of late and this is his second vinyl outing in as many months. Desert Queen is pure Beyer, and pure Drumocde - drum-led techno for the main room with sweeping synths and grand vocals that are designed to impact crowds of thousands. The A-side actually brings a touch of trance energy and hard techno funk with its slamming, flat-footed drums, coarse synths and brightly lit arrangements. 'Soulful' then flips the script with a more funky groove that rocks back and forth and has funky basslines and a pitched up r&b vocal that works strangely well in the unusual context.

If the title is any indicator enough - and no, it's not irony - this is a stonking closer to a mammoth seven-12" compilation series. Review: Sam Paganini is a long time techno legend and Drumcode is about as big as techno label get right now. Togtjer then make for a mighty force on this new Raev 12" especially as it comes with a remix from the boss man Adam Beyer in collaboration with Layton Giordani. Their take on the title track is a hefty one with industrial overtones, saw tooth synths and squealing synth sounds that makes for an intense atmosphere. The original from big man Sam is a more stripped back and seductive deep techno roller with infectious drum loops.

Review: Ever the champion of brains and brawn in equal measure, Maceo Plex makes his debut appearance on Drumcode with this punchy beast of a single. "Conjure Dreams" features plenty of Plex signifiers, from the rounded and rowdy bassline pump to the haunting tone of the synth lines, neatly packaged in a chunky framework of big room drums. "Conjure Floyd" meanwhile burrows into more minimal territory where the tones are amelodic and the percussion takes the lead, calling to mind the restraint and tension of classic M_nus productions where so much could be said with so little.

Review: Rodolfo Abrao Wehbba is a leading light of Brazil's techno scene, although he's truly an international concern after more than 15 years in the game. He's put out a lot of music over the years, but more recently he's been aligned with labels like Hotflush and the monolithic Drumcode. It's Adam Beyer's empire he returns to for this, his first EP in three years. The sound on Dynamo is as massive as you would expect, full of that precision engineered arena-filling thump and sky-scraping synth lines, but all shot through with the seductive darkness which makes the Drumcode sound so appealing to such huge crowds of people.

Review: For his first outing of 2019, Adam Beyer has turned over the parts to his 2014 single "Teach Me" to Belgium's first lady of banging, acid-fuelled techno, Amelie Lens. She subsequently serves up two throbbing, peak-time ready revisions, with the A-side "Main Mix" offering a near perfect blend of booming, kick-drum driven beats, military snare fills, cut-up late night vocal samples and distorted, mind-altering riffs. As the title suggests, the flipside "Acid Remix" sees Lens indulge her love of mind-altering TB-303 acid lines, brilliantly wrapping them around a springier drum track, EBM-influenced melodic motifs and more pulsating, manipulated vocal loops.

Review: Here's a big old belter on that biggest of techno fortresses, Drumcode. On this two-track slammer, Adam Beyer and Bart Skils' monster track 'Your Mind' gets revisited by New York up and comer Charles D. After releases on Say What? and Pryda, D is able to show off his skills twice over, on the A-side living up to the billing of the 'Epic mix' of 'Your Mind' by bringing in the big, swelling pads that can fill a stadium and get hands raised aloft. On the flip, the 'Acid Line' version unsurprisingly brings a little 303 action into the mix, and makes sure the undercarriage is a thunderous juggernaut of supersized techno.

Review: First released digitally last year, Lilly Palmer's Drumcode label debut has finally made it on to vinyl. All three tracks have proved popular with digital DJs, and it's easy to understand why. Title track 'Resonate' is a fiendishly heavy, near brutal techno excursion in which tight, mind-warping acid lines, creepy aural textures and razor-sharp synth sounds leap above a blistering beat and doom-laden bassline. 'First Time in Space', in which she takes to the mic, is a frankly breathless and insatiably intoxicating acid techno stomper of the sort that Drumcode does so well, while 'Ultimate Feeling' pairs the booming, ten-ton beats associated with Belgian producer Amelie Lens with layers of creepy electronics and warped industrial sounds.

Instead, his focus has been on a staggering hit list of legendary labels from Pure Plastic to 100% Pure, Break New Soil, and since 2012, primarily Drumcode. As part of Adam Beyer's core contingent he's played a major part in shaping the sound of the label, and so he continues on this exemplary two-tracker. 'Roll The Dice' is a muscular yet lean workout for the bigger kinds of spaces, playing around with some monotonal vocal threads and laying down the b-line throb you expect from a Drumcode A side. There is no messing about here as the opener will sweep everything in its wake out of the way like a techno tsunami. It has urgent siren sounds and yelping vocals which add to the drama. 'Shake' has more hefty low ends that will rattle both ribs and walls and plenty of FX and percussive iciness adding to the intensity. Review: Up next for Adam Beyer's esteemed Drumcode imprint is Enrico Sangiuliano, a Milan based DJ/producer originally from Reggio Emilia who has been been active on the Italian scene since the early noughties, playing everywhere from clubs to illegal raves. His work of late has been released on sister label Truesoul, Alleanza, Gem Records, Octopus Recordings and Rhythm Converted. On "Moon Rocks", Sangiuliano provides a euphoric, hands in the air anthem with soaring synth leads and seriously humming Reese bassline over a high octane beat. Also on the A side is the mad diva vocal breakdown on "Ghettoblaster" which soon gives way to a dark and tunnelling epic. Finally on the flip, we have two versions of "Dutch Kiss" but for our money it's all about the sombre and emotive IDM vibe of the Inner remix.

Review: The concept of 'life moving fast' is a sentiment we can all recognise, but fewer yet find the neighbouring sentiment - that you are faster than you think, and you can keep up. You have to find it in your heart, which is why you have to make it to the B-side of Layton Giordani's 'Life Moves Fast', his latest for Drumcode, to know it. Philosophising aside, we are urged to "stop to look around once in a while" on the A-side's shifting, maddening tension-builds. The B restores our humanity and mitigates the sense of urgency with a more meditative mover, which fittingly revels in more post-drop stasis compared to the A (though it's still not without its detuned rave stabs and crazy-driving bass hits).

For this new dancefloor weapon, label boss Adam Beyer has called upon Oscar L for two of his finest. Review: For big-room techno, there are few finer labels out there right now - or ever - than Adam Beyer's monstrous Drumcode. The boss himself dropped a huge EP not so long ago and now turns to Space 92 for the latest aural assault. The artist serves up just two tracks but both are hugely weaponised affairs, starting with 'Time.' It is lacerated by gurgling synth lines that fire across its face like lasers, while the rolling beats and edgy stabs all build the tension. On the flip is 'Voyager' which is an acid-laced pumper with non-stop drum funk and flat-footed kicks to make huge club rooms march as one.

Review: It is a testament to Adam Beyer's enduring love for techno that he continues to serve up choice cuts from his long-running and influential Drumcode label on vinyl. He looks to the talents of Victor Ruiz and Modea for this new two-track 12". Firstly the pair hook up for 'Bloom', a cavernous techno sound that sweeps dancefloors off its feet and floats them amongst subtly uplifting chords while the drums toll on. There are epic melodic overtones to the flip side track 'Contrast,' too. This one will get heads held high, hands in the air and crowds fully taken in with its celebratory atmosphere - until the monstrous drums and acid arrive, that is.

Review: Adam Beyer's Drumcode label is very nearly at its 300th release, which is a fine achievement by anyone's standards. Here he taps up Veerus for more of the Swedish imprints signature main room techno tackle and he doesn't fall short. 'Cycle' is full of the sort of drama you expect from this label - flat, driving drums, synths fired from a machine gun, strobe lit pads and frazzled textures to make for exciting and impactful experiences. 'It's Funky' on the flip is another big one with thunderous clasp and drums all sweeping dancers off their feet.

Review: Having previously operated on labels renowned for pushing a more underground or left-of-centre take on techno (think Kompakt Extra and Ellum Audio, for starters), Raxon has finally been given a chance to shine on techno's most commercially successful imprint, Drumcode. As you'd expect given the label's trademark big room sound, opener "Connection" is a little bolder than some of the Ehyptian's previous work, with foreboding, undulating bass, robotic bleeps and raw, rushing, intergalactic stabs helping to create a genuine sense of rapid forward movement. Flipside "Orbit" is equally as twisted in its own way, with wonky noises and thumping beats being contrasted by a fluttering, tech-house style lead line.

Review: Some serious peak time weapons for the main room on offer here, from the ever reliable Swedish label Drumcode. Usual heroes of the label such as Luigi Madonna, Sam Paganini and Joseph Capriati step aside for some other equally reliable staples. On the A, side label boss Adam Beyer teams up with Enrico Sangiuliano on the evocative and life affirming "Preset Heaven" which takes its cues from early trance with its amazing chord progression. It is something more typical of the label next, on the pummelling warehouse stomp of "Muzik" by Bulgaria's Timmo. On the flip, there's more trance nostalgia on offer again - this time from legends Pig & Dan on the hypnotic/melodic bliss of "La Bruja" which we could imagine melting the minds of festival crowds well into the new year. Finally they save the best for last with French peak time specialist Julian Jeweil, serving up the furious, tunneling and strobe-lit ultraviolence of "Nasa" which will have your adrenaline going from the first beat. It has been a stellar year for the powerhouse label, with great releases by Moby, Dubfire and newcomer Layton Giordani.

Review: The always hard-hitting Drumcode kick off a new series here under the name Elevate. It welcomes new school techno tastemakers to serve up their own scintillating main room sounds with Siona label boss and prog house 2.0 figurehead Miss Monique going first. Her serene chords douse you in trance tinged lushness as the deep beats roll on. Chelina Manuhutu's 'Amsterdam Rave' is a more rock solid warehouse roller and Anna Reusch runs with that vibe on her booming, all-consuming techno kicker 'Let Me Take You There'. There is then some flashy acid lines from DJ Dee on her 'Freaking Out'. A fine, all-female fronted EP from Drumcode.

That's through a mix of big parties, big sets from theirs Adam Beyer alongside his associates, and big tunes. The last of 2022 comes from Layton Giordani and is another one that doesn't muck about. 'Digital Age' is a steam train with powerful and immovable drums and frosted synths before a breakdown brings melodic drama. Review: Returning to Drumcode for the umpteenth time comes Marco Faraone, offering up two tracks, 'Dangerous' and 'Pressure', both of which evoke gargantuan factory rooms and processing plants. The first track is a clean and pulsatory loomer, with essences of tech house and big room sprinkled in, as we're continually reminded that whatever awaits us round the corner, "it's dangerous". 'Pressure', meanwhile, is a surreal judderer, with giant metallic girders sounding to grind against each other as a ghostly voice speaks of diversity, of "different kinds of people", coming together as one.
