Review: The Allergies are now well respected and much loved in their field. They have rolled out killer albums and EPs at a rate of knots and always with real funk at their core. This is the Bristol band's second sizzling single of the year on the Jalapeno label and it is another doozy. The Deviation club night was a legendary party helped by the now well known Radio 1 DJ Benji B. With this expansive collection he looks back to draw up some of the highlights from over the years, and next to a load of classics there are also some exclusives from the likes of Hudson Mohawk. The widescreen selection takes in slow burning house from The Detroit Experiment, dark bass from Zomby and dubstep wobblers from Mala. It does a fine job of capturing the energy and expansive remit of the night, playing you front and centre one more time.

The smooth grooves continue on DeBarge's "I Like It" (Soul Synopsis mix), which is pure sultry and steamy gold. Elsewhere Eddie Kendricks - "Body Talk" (TBG mix) is a string laced and slow motion disco funk gem and Sister of Love and Jackson 5 also get some careful treatment.
