Review: After turning the world on it's ear with the amazing "Shine Through" album, Aloe Blacc returns with his first post Stones Throw debut release courtesy of Plug Label. Both tracks highlight the talent that earned Aloe Blacc worldwide acclaim by everyone from Gilles Peterson to Spin Magazine. For the A-Sided party banger, Aloe Blacc confidently flips verses over Kero One's neck snapping production and moog playing. Add a sing-songy chorus and folks worldwide have a new party anthem to cut loose to. The second track "Friends" is an excellent display of Aloe's singing prowess. Over a bouncing and up-tempo soundtrack by King Most, Aloe belts out one of his finer performances, yet singing about growing up as a youngster in sunny California.
