Notes: Audio-oscillators are probably the most widespread modules in Eurorack-systems. They are fundamental for generating synthetic sounds, tonal as well as percussive ones.

Oscillator-circuits are used in our VERMONA synthesizers, we know how to design them. But instead of copy and paste, we reworked many aspects when adapting our circuits for modular purpose. What is great for closed systems might not always be perfect for modular systems.

All that development work resulted in uniCYCLE: compact, high-performant and stable.

Simple interface and quality without compromises:

When designing an audio-oscillator we took great care to make it suitable for musical context. Beside excellent sound quality this also means rock-solid tuning stability. uniCYCLE more than fulfils these requirements. It easily covers a huge tuning-range while strictly following the 1-volt-per-octave-convention.

With one knob you can master uniCYCLE's frequencies in three different modes. TUNE either controls the low-frequency or audio range or adds respectively subtracts, exactly one octave. In this calibrated mode it provides a dead-zone around its centre-position. Thus it's easy to access all three octaves without the need of a centre-click.

With only 10 HP in width, uniCYCLE offers all the common features that you might expect: inputs for hard- and soft-sync as well as exponential and linear frequency modulation.

Even more than standard waves:

uniCYCLE offers six waveform outputs. Beside the classic sawtooth, triangle and square it generates sine, even and a special sawtooth with doubled frequency. PWM is not only available for square. Even - a shape the only has even-numbered harmonics - can be transformed to a sine-like wave whereas the doubled saw turns into half-pitched triangles.

uniCYCLE is a strong base for each Eurorack-system. At least one should be in every case.

Notes: You never can have enough modules that influence levels - be it for audio signals or control voltages.

quadroPOL is a four-channel polarizer module. It can attenuate any incoming signal, in-phase or out of phase. One of its most special features is the way each channel's level control works. Instead of having one dedicated zero-point, it has a "dead zone" where the input signal will be completely suppressed. Thus, you will easily find the off-position, even without a centre-click, while, at the same time you'll be able to create extremely sensitive level increases.

Further outstanding features are:

- A channel's output signal will optionally be forwarded to the next one, which allows the use of quadroPOL as a mixer-module. This way you can sum up to four signals.
- The module can be controlled via control voltages. Beside manually setting the level you can use each channel as VCA. You never can have enough VCAs in a modular system, can you?
- quadroPOL's circuits work with a four-quadrant-multiplier. This means the module is a ringmodulator without compromises - sorry - four ringmodulators.

Do you have 10 HP unused rack-space left in your Eurorack-system? You should consider getting a quadroPOL module. It is so versatile that it's hard to live without one, once you've gotten your hands on one of it.

Notes: Quad Envelope Generator module. Each of its four channels can be triggered individually as Attack- Hold- or Decay-envelope, or be combined with the next channel to generate more complex shapes. Attack and Decay can run with linear or exponential characteristic and you can manually adjust them within a range of 500 microseconds up to 30 seconds. By using an external control-voltage, the time can dramatically be shortened or increased. If you want you can get a shape that needs more than two hours (per channel) to reach its end!

Notes: Rhythm is no accident but planned randomness.

randomRHYTHM is a random-based dual-channel trigger sequencer with a very unique concept. What you cannot do with it is manually setting steps or tapping-in a rhythm. Instead you have four sliders per rhythm-section to set the probability for the appearance of quarters, eighths, sixteenths and triplets to form sequences.

Realtime or Dice
Each of the rhythm-section can work in realtime or dice mode.

Realtime means, that the module is continuously generating new random values for each note value whereas in dice-mode it generates them for a complete 3/4- or 4/4-bar. In both modes, even if a bar has been diced, the sliders still influence the resulting sequence.

Clock central and multiple outputs
Beside the sequence output of each rhythm-section there are individual outs for the quarters, eighths, sixteenths and triplets. You can use them with or without random. The latter makes randomRHYTHM a precise tool to generate or multiply clocks.

Apropos clocks, the module can create its own or work with external clocks (per rhythm-section if you like).

Additional fun is guaranteed by the flexible RESET input that lets you mute the outputs or restart your diced bar. As with all parameters, the functionality can be set individually per rhythm-section.

Endless creativeness
randomRHYTHM is a creativeness booster. It is easy to create complex rhythms or straight four-to-the-floor beats. Its foolproof user interface lets you play it without thinking about randomness and probabilities, although that's the fundamental concept of the module. You don't need to be a stochastic genius!

It doesn't matter if you use it as sole rhythm-base or as valuable addition to other sequencers. randomRHYTHM gives you a different view to rhythms and the way to generate them.

Notes: Format conversion the flexible way:
Our quad MIDI Interface picks up the flexible voice assignment of VERMONA's PERfourMER MKII to provide a fourfold MIDI-to-CV/Gate converter for Eurorack-compatible modular systems. This way, you can play your modular synthesizer in different monophonic modes or even polyphonically using MIDI.

More than just pitch:
Each of the four "output channels" offers a CV-output with 1V/octave-characteristic, a gate-output plus two additional control voltage outputs. These can be easily addressed by MIDI-controllers such as the modulation-wheel or pitch bender. The output channels can freely be combined or be used with independent MIDI-channels. Combined output channels can be used in unison, monophonically with rotating voice assignment or even to create polyphony. qMI 2 also offers four clock-divider-outputs. These convert incoming MIDI-clock signals into analogue gate-voltages. A reset-output allows sequencers with corresponding input to run in sync by MIDI-start/stop commands. A new feature of qMI 2 is the option to switch between both monophonic voice assignment modes using a gate signal.

Easy access to functionality:
An important part of the modular concept is the easy access to every parameter, without using displays or complicated menu structures. qMI 2 will help you to integrate your modular-system into your MIDI-setup straight-forwardly!

Notes: Eurorack-outputs deluxe:
Besides spectacular sound engines and -shapers, usual and unconventional sources and manipulators of control voltages, every modular system also needs a choice of modules for the "daily" business. twinOUT is such a module: the perfect connection to the outer world.

This DI-box in a module offer two adjustable electronically balanced XLR-outputs. twinOut is designed for full stereophonic or dual mono use. To complete its functional range, a headphone output was added - being also suitable to transport line levels.

Like every VERMONA module, each twinOUT is hand-assembled in our electroacoustic manufactory in Germany. If you want to get the most of your modular synthesizer, you cannot pass by the twinOUT!

Notes: Our twinVCAmp was designed as a flexible and equally high grade dual VCA. Its luxurious outfit and though-out circuitry make it a valuable tool for every modular system - naturally with superior sonic quality.
Per VCA, the amplification ratio can be set to exactly 1:1 or 1:4. This way, weak input signals can be expediently boosted in level. At the same time, high level audio signals will be distorted and compacted in a harmonic and musical way.
The characteristics of both VCAs can individually be switched from linear to semi-logarithmic - a curve specifically designed for musical applications.

Team-player or lone fighter:
Both VCAs can be used independently or in combination. Available are three possibilities:

- VCA1 can serve as offset-generator for its twin brother.
- Both VCAs can share a control voltage source.
- The sum of both VCAs can be used from a separate output.

Each module is carefully assembled, checked and packed in our electroacoustic manufactory in Erlbach, Germany. Notes: VCDrive is a voltage controlled distortion module suited for all kind of signals within your modular system.

The large sonic spectrum of VCDrive ranges from slight fattening of audio signals to intense overdrive. At the same time, it will always preserve its elegant basic nature. This module is not a brutal destroyer, but rather an enormous muscle pack with a classy core.

The amount of distortion can be manually adjusted or being modulated by an external control voltage. In the simplest case, you use an envelope or LFO to do so. However, given a good portion of creativity, VCDrive will easily deliver more complex results and therefore can be so much more than just a "typical" distortion unit.

VCDrive is a premium sound shaping device that should not be missing in any modular system. It is an effective team player when it comes to create cutting bass-, lead- and drum-sounds. It is also of great help when designing weird effect-sounds.

Notes: The TAI-4 not only makes it easy to get balanced signals out of or into a modular system, it also does that job with superior audio quality. Above, it galvanically separates the inputs from the outputs by using a total of four high-end audio transformers and thus prevents unwanted noise interferences.

We decided to uses switches instead of potentiometers for adjusting the gain levels. This ensures accurate and equal leveling of stereo signals.

The TAI-4 is an extremely useful module when it comes to integrate external studio processors, or the opposite, connecting the modular system to outboard equipment or DAWs.

Notes: Finally the VSR 3.2 is here! It is the enhanced successor of the Vermona VSR-3 - Vintage Spring Reverb.

Most of the features, like the AccuBell spring tank (type 9), the TONE control as well as in and output stages are equal.

What has been improved is the way EFFECT STOP is working. Compared to its predecessor VSR 3.2 offers the possibility to determine where EFFECT STOP cuts the signal path: PRE or POST the spring tank. In the new PRE mode the input of the spring tank is cut from the signal path, so the reverb's decay isn't abruptly stopped when pressing EFFECT STOP and still can fade out.

The VSR 3.2 is suitable for all kinds of input signals like synthesizer, organs, guitars, vocals etc. It's available as of now from stock. It is already listed in our latest price list from 2015-05-01.

We have to admit being more than a little proud when thinking of the Action Filter's history. Twelve years ago we made the first version of this still popular stereo-filter with no end in sight. It still is built upon the same basic principle: ACTION!

Neither MIDI nor control voltage decide about filter sweeps and cues but you. Action Filter demands and supports your intuition and creativity. Reign over frequencies and rhythm instead of being a victim of technique.

What remains?

Like its predecessors, Action Filter 4 consists of a high-/lowpass filter-combination per stereo channel. Together, these either work as bandpass- or notch-filter with variable bandwidth and individual resonance per filter.

What's new?

Unspectacular but a spectacle nevertheless: Beside the mandatory RCA in- and outputs, Action Filter 4 is equipped with 1/4"-jacks. In addition, the FILTER MODE switch made it to the unit's front, labeled as STYLE.

Who is the Action Filter 4 dedicated to?

... of course for all action heroes! With jack- and RCA-connectors, Action Filter 4 is best suited for the DJ booth as well as for studio applications. You can use it to process full tracks or add that "certain something" to individual audio tracks. Emphasize or kill specific frequency bands and - on top of it - have lots of fun actively playing with frequencies! Simply: ACTION!

The Vermona Filter Lancet is a compact but versatile stand-alone multimode filter for your desktop. It's the right weapon against static sound and boredom and made for any kind of audio signal. The filter section itself has 3 modes: low-pass, high-pass and band-pass. The last one works with a slope of 12 dB per octave whereas low- and high-pass are 24 dB filters.

You can give the filter some extra punch with the Balls knob, known from Kick Lancet. It pushes low and high frequencies of the signal before being filtered. And of course the resonance is self-oscillating.

Other than the filter section of Mono Lancet, the Filter Lancet is not based on (Moog-) cascade circuitry. It was inspired by the filters of the Vermona M.A.R.S. respectively DAF-1 and Action Filter.

Without modulation the Filter Lanced would still be a good filter but kind of boring. So it is equipped with a LFO, an envelope generator, an envelope follower and a CV/pedal input. The LFO has 2 frequency ranges and goes up to 250Hz - that's fast. At low frequencies the LFO can be re-triggered by gate- or audio signals. It has sample & hold and five waveforms: saw up and saw down, square, sine and triangle.

The envelope generator can be triggered by the input signal or an additional audio signal as well as by a gate voltage. If triggering it via gate it works as an attack-sustain-release envelope. With audio triggers its mode is attack-decay. The envelope follower transforms the contour of the input signal into control voltages that can serve as modulation source.

The LFO modulation intensity can be set separately from modulation intensity of envelope generator and envelope follower on the VCF- as well as on the VCA section.

The Filter Lancet features a drive circuit right in the input section to add subtle shades of overdrive up to solid distortions.

The Filter Lancet is packed with useful features. It's a great and powerful addition to any synthesizer including Mono Lancet with or without Modular Dock. But Filter Lancet also is designed for stringed instruments. It creates standard effects like WahWah and tremolo with ease and even adds a palette of extraordinary sounds to any effect repertoire.

The Kick Lancet generator is a handy analogue percussion synthesizer with priority to kick-drum sounds.

The heart of the Kick Lancet's sound structure is an analogue oscillator that produces sine and square waves, which can blend seamlessly from one to the other. 2 independent envelope generators with a decay/release phase can modulate the oscillator's frequency and the VCA. Additionally the VCO pitch can be modulated by the fast LFO (3Hz to 3 kHz, triangle). Noise and a pulse signal can be added in the mixer section. Vermona have a balls-controller for making it really big.

The Kick Lancet can be triggered by MIDI but beside that there are 3 different trigger inputs. A gate trigger, which impulse can trigger the Kick Lancet in normal way with additional accent or completely dynamical depending on the incoming voltage, a simply short current trigger (i.e. momentary foot switch) and an audio input, which offers the possibility to trigger the Kick Lancet by an audio signal statically or dynamically. Drum pads can also be connected here.
