Review: Melody Fields hail from Gothenburg in Sweden and have mastered the art of weaving together modern psychedelia and indie rock. Their new album 1901 does all that and more with ten cuts of well crafted sound that pairs aloof vocals with swirling guitars and plenty of rich drum textures. Some tracks are singer-songwriter classics for sunny days, others are more electronic mood setters and ambient excursions. Things grow more intense as the album unfolds, which makes it all the more exiting and enthralling proposition.
