Review: It is one of the most iconic tunes and albums of its generation by one of the most iconic bands of any generation and now it's back in print. His wildly colourful band was famous for a unique combination of rock, psychedelia and soul music and despite being so idiosyncratic they crossed over into the pop mainstream and gained an international following. They are now regarded as one of the key innovators in the world of funk and this tenth studio album was their most commercially successful.

Review: Parilaiment-Funkadelic's 1978 "anti-tour", in which they deliberately played very small venues and proudly explained to journalists how much money they were losing, has become the stuff of legend. This three-disc set, featuring an entire, unedited recording of their show at the Capitol Theatre in Passiac, New Jersey, offers a glimpse of what the lucky few who got to attend tour dates witnessed. Full of extended P-funk wig-outs, extended interpretations of familiar hits and genuinely thrilling performances, it's as atmospheric and exciting as you'd expect. George Clinton and company were known to be superb live performers, and this just confirms it. An essential purchase for any P-funk fan.
