This one comes on Kann Records and is another tasteful trip into the depths of electronic music with trip hop, breakbeat, ambient, tech house and techno all colouring the grooves. Importantly it is steeped in emotion with each of the well crafted sounds hitting a perfect sweet spot. Core to this is the artist's ability to craft perfect loops that can roll for days and never grate. "He doesn't like to think in categories," says the press text. "By reinterpreting genre-specific elements, discovering unheard soundscapes and with a good portion of nostalgia, he sculpts little stories that vibe on dance floors and in living rooms alike." This special live album certainly shows that and comes with some special liner notes as well as being pressed up to nice heavyweight 180g vinyl. It includes tracks from across their whole discography and all served up with that realness, rawness and sense of spite and visceral energy that defined the band with tracks like 'Lie Dream Of A Casino Soul' and 'Why Are People Grudgeful?' sounding as good as always.

Review: It's taken a while for Nick Cave to get round to releasing a follow-up to 2005's self-explanatory B-Sides and Rarities compilation. We'd argue that it's been worth the wait though. The 16-year gap between the releases has allowed for a wider sweep of the iconic artist's archives, so much so that it features no less than 27 tracks stretched across two coloured slabs of wax. Record one focuses on B-sides, bonus tracks and rarities, including a duet with Debbie Harry and a superb live version of 'Push The Sky Away' with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. It's the second record that will most excite fans though, featuring as it does unreleased material. There are plenty of unheard songs of course, but also early recordings of such fan favourites as 'Skeleton Tree' and 'Bright Horses'.

Review: Early new wave icons Duran Duran have been digging in their vaults again and this time out they've found Dreaming Of Your Cars: 1979 Demos Part 2, which features vocalist Andy Wickett, who fronted the band before Simon Le Bon took over. The rare tracks start with 'Dreaming Of Your Cars', post punk groove with a slick rhythm section and tight bassline driving it along and getting you in the groove. 'Love Story' features superbly nimble playing and crashing drums that again straighten your back and get you marching before 'X Disco' and 'To The Shore' close out in upbeat then more mournful fashion.

Review: London producer Leeway has cooked up a brilliant album here that suggests he is obsessive about detail and magical about rhythm and groove. His tracks are super tight takes on techno and grime with elements of trance and plenty of bits for the 160 heads to get stuck into. It's one for the heart of the dancefloor or headphones alike - stoner rave for strobe lit settings, paranoid ideas fleshed out into fever dreams and alien lifeforms. It's got a hyper feel, AI feel to it but also plenty of ritualistic dance DNA that has got us mightily impressed. One of the most original albums you'll hear this year.

Review: Yore is a low key but always worth checking label which has got together one of its best releases in some time here. P0lyrhythm is the artist behind it and the title, 'Motor City Dreams' gives you an idea of what to expect inside - Detroit-style techno with retro-future synth work. Opener '313 Hazy Days' is just that - an acidic mix of swirling pads and driving techno drums full of hi-tek soul. 'Shimmering Lights' has old school percussive sounds and singing synth patterns that light up the deeper drums and then the title cut takes off to the stars on wispy leads and sleek beats. 'Ray Eyes' completes this most tasteful of deep techno EPs.
