Notes: A few years ago ZVEX Effects released the Candela Vibrophase, a candle-powered vibrato/phaser machined from solid brass and glass that used a mix of 1800s technology (a Sterling heat engine) and 60s/70s audio circuitry to create a lovely swirling effect. After numerous requests to put that sound into a guitar pedal, they came up with a way of dramatically broadening the spectrum of textures available using the original circuitry from the Candela.

It's presented to you here as the Vibrophase, a five-knob four-stage phaser that creates phase and vibrato nuances never heard before. Five knobs! Count 'em! Speed sweeps from maddeningly slow to puppy dog flippy, vibrato/phase sweeps from, erm, you'll figure that out, feedback sends the output back through the phaser again to raise intensity, and there are controls for the top end and bottom end of the sweep so you can completely tailor the sound to your song.

Notes: A wah-wah pedal with no rocker pot to wear out, it uses a proximity sensing radio transmitter so you can achieve super fast wah action and chewy sounds (pulling your foot quickly away), and it even has a Super Hard On built in so you can drive it to any volume you want.

Notes: The Zorx 1U SILENCER is a clickless 20 HP 4 channel performance silencing module that lets you manually switch each channel on and off, thereby muting it, with latching or momentarily capabilities. A connector cable [included] can be connected from the rear of the Zorx 1U CV Bus to the rear of the SILENCER which will take the last four outputs of the Zorx 1U CV Bus and duplicate them, normalling them to the corresponding inputs of the SILENCER. Illuminated numbered dots correspond to the 4 channels of the 1U CV Bus for easy recognition.

The SILENCER can be used as a 4-channel on/off/(on) performance switch, a 4-channel audio or CV mixer, or a combination of the two while having control of which channels you want in the final mix.

The Zoom H4n EXT is a 4-channel portable recorder with up to 32 GB memory card capacity and high-definition 24bit/96kHz audio recording. Its onboard X/Y stereo condenser mics are arranged with the right and left mics on the same axis. This design ensures that the mics are always an equal distance from the sound source for perfect localization without phase shifting. Frequency response remains uniform throughout your recording. The result is great stereo recording with natural depth and accurate imaging every time.

Custom designed, onboard X/Y stereo condenser mics allow variable recording patterns at either 90- or 120-. Our unique design lets you rotate each mic capsule from 90- (standard) to 120- (wide-angle) stereo for the ultimate versatility in any recording situation. Now your recordings can be richer than ever before. Choose up to 24-bit/96-kHz linear PCM WAV files for audio resolution that surpasses CD quality. The H4n uses compact SD or high-capacity SDHC memory cards of up to 32GB. Unlike other media such as tape or discs, SD cards produce no mechanical noise, are not disturbed by vibrations and are readily available for your convenience. The new, digitally controlled, high-quality preamplifier renders audio so precisely, you'll sound like you recorded in a world-class studio. And this new preamp means you can make recording level adjustments on the fly. Of course, an automatic level setting function is also built in to optimize the level quickly as the situation requires.

Learning new songs is now a breeze with the H4n's adjustable playback speed that ranges from 50 to 150 percent, while keeping pitch the same. This is also a great feature for learning a language, conference recording, and various electronic news gathering (ENG) situations. With its low-cut filter, the H4n effectively reduces unwanted background noise like wind or air-conditioning noise. A variety of compressors and limiters help to optimize the dynamic range while preventing distortion.

For situations where you require maximized, continuous recording operation you can select stamina mode which effectively doubles battery life, letting you record continuously for about 11 hours in 16-bit/44.1-kHz linear PCM format. The H4n is the only handheld recorder that features built-in combination XLR/Phone connectors with phantom voltage source capability. With its Hi-Z inputs, you can record guitars or other line output sources such as mixing consoles. A separate external mic input supports plug-in power microphones.

Proper miking is essential to making a great recording. The H4n is the only handheld recorder that allows recording on four channels simultaneously by using your own external mics with its onboard mics. Use its built-in mixer to blend the channels for perfectly balanced recordings of extraordinary depth and clarity. You can set your H4n to automatically record whenever sound above your designated level is detected. This ensures that you capture everything of importance while minimizing blank sections such as when recording a conference or lecture.

The H4n can also be set to continuously record the most recent two seconds of audio in memory. Now, you never miss the beginning of anything you want to record, even when it begins suddenly. Even without external software, you can divide a recorded file at any desired point, right on the H4n. A built-in normalizing feature lets you optimize the volume level, and you can convert WAV files into MP3 directly on the unit as well.

You can choose between single-song playback, single-song repeat, all-songs playback, or all-songs repeat. This is great when you want to use the H4n as a personal trainer for learning new music. A-B repeat even lets you zoom in on a specified section of a song. The H4n supports Broadcast Wave Format (BWF) used in broadcasting and other professional A/V applications. Recorded files carry time stamp information and you can set markers (cue points) during recording or playback.

A stereo input signal can be mixed down to mono to reduce unwanted sound source position shifts between right and left channels. This is ideal for recording interviews.
The built-in M/S stereo decoder allows the use of an external Mid-Side microphone setups. The H4n converts the mid and side channel signals into a conventional stereo (L/R) signal for even more versatility, and it's only found on the H4n.

The MTR mode allows simultaneous 2-track recording and 4-track playback. With this feature, creating songs by overdubbing vocals and instruments is a snap. Level and panning can be adjusted individually for each track on the built-in mixer, and you can even do a mixdown right on the H4n.

Each VCO has square, triangle, and sine wave out, coarse and fine tuning controls, a control voltage input, and a switch for selecting exponential or linear cv in. When a control voltage is inserted, the fine tune control becomes an attenuator for the incoming voltage. In exponential mode, when the attenuator is fully clockwise, the VCO will track around 5 volts per octave.

There are a couple quirks to these 8038 VCOs:

Below 300Hz the waveform symmetry is slightly off. triangle waves get a little uneven in the lfo range, the sine is not completely perfect to begin with the bottom trough and in the lfo range it slopes slightly, and the square turns more trapezoidal above 1khz(see scope shots) Also it doesn't track 1 volt per octave perfectly. usually the 1st and 3rd octave will be a couple cents off.

Other than those idiosyncrasies, it is a powerful, stable dual oscillator in a small footprint with no cross talk between oscillators. It's great for: drones and beating sine or triangle waves, cross modulating itself for interesting clocks/LFOs, creating complex waveforms/timbres through lin/exp frequency modulation.

The MSP3, a compact reference monitor speaker loved for many years, has been renewed as the MSP3A. This new reference monitor is the first in this series to include our Twisted Flare Port technology and provides an even clearer and tighter low-end while also realizing faithful sound reproduction.

The built-in 22W power amplifier is optimized for the speaker unit, which comprises a 10 cm (4") woofer and a 2.2 cm (.87") tweeter, to achieve a clear and natural reference sound.

This is a second, vastly improved revision to the original 2014 Sewastopol, featuring a completely redesigned preamplifier circuit, better ergonomics and various other improvements.

Notes: Samara is a "Swiss Army Knife" type of module, intended to serve the most common voltage and audio signal processing purposes such as attenuation, offsetting, mixing, inverting, and even basic waveshaping. Samara features four channels, each with two inputs and an attenuator, additional switchable offset generators, four voltage level and polarity indicators, two adders with switchable scale, and a precision four-channel processor that selects minimum and maximum voltage.

Notes: Part of Xaoc's Leibniz subsystem, which processes signals and voltages by manipulating binary 8-bit numbers, the Poczdam allows switching between two data sources.

Poczdam is a binary data routing solution for the Xaoc Leibniz Subsystem. It facilitates manual and remote switching between two Leibniz data sources, modifying individual bits of the data stream, and re-clocking the data with its onboard voltage-controlled wideband oscillator or any external clock signal. Poczdam is particularly useful within complex Leibniz setups where the user needs to reconfigure the data flow between multiple modules. However, it can also be employed in small creative patches, e.g., for waveform splicing, disrupting rhythmic loops, or generating digital chaos.
To better understand the device and avoid common pitfalls, it is strongly advised to read through the entire user manual before use.

Drezno is the input/output front-end of the system, consisting of an analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) and a digital-to-analogue converter (DAC), that alone can be used for manipulating analogue signals and voltages based on their binary representation.

Lipsk is a binary logic processing expander module that can flip (invert) individual bits of the digital signal representation. There are more Leibniz Binary Subsystem elements coming, with specialized and advanced sets of features.

Jena is a digital module that may be used as a flexible waveshaper for CV and audio signals, a wavetable oscillator, a Walsh function generator, or a rhythm generator.

Erfurt is a bi-directional digital counter, frequency divider. It has multiple applications: the output of the counter may be used as a phase source driving a digital wavetable, connected to other Leibniz modules it may scan waveshapes in Jena, produce stepped voltages useful for making interesting glissandi with Drezno and any VCO, generate gate patterns animating the spectrum of Odessa harmonic banks, spawn pseudo-chaotic sequences when fed back to Lipsk, etc.

Notes: User-friendly mid/side processing module. Tweak the stereo image or split a stereo signal into mid and side elements then route out to other modules for further processing before summing back together. Powerful.

Minsk is a stereo image processor. It is a hybrid tool that combines digital and analog processing to facilitate advanced mid/side (M/S) manipulation of a stereo signal pair. It allows for separate treatment of the mid and side components, which affects the depth and width of the auditory scene. Minsk offers both manual and voltage control of the stereo width, as well as two dimension effects for enhancing the existing stereo image or creating a faux stereo image based on the stereo or mono input source. Minsk is especially handy during the preparation of a vinyl release or before a club concert, because it can eliminate out-of-phase low-end frequencies (high pass filter at 300Hz with the filter slope 12dB/oct, 50Hz with the filter slope 24dB/oct).

Deva is an expander for Xaoc Devices' Timiszoara multi-fx module designed for creative exploration of the dirty/nasty side of signal processing. Deva opens up the Timiszoara programs you've come to love with some unexpected twists and turns along the way. The analog side features two external feedback loops (for the left and right channel) with tilt filters adjustable via sliders with two additional switches for choosing positive or negative feedback (for each channel). The third slider controls the DAC clock - from overclocking by a factor of two down to 16-times slower, so you can go from chipmunk to hardcore teeth gnashing of underclocked goodness. A switch allows for turning the clock control off for normal/regular operation. All features have inputs for external CV.
