Expanded Freeze in a lowball-sized package!

Meeting between the original Freeze and Superego pedals is the Pico Deep Freeze Sound Retainer. With the ability to freeze a moment in sound, the Deep Freeze can act as a sustain pedal for holding chords and notes as backing for your playing or as a platform to manipulate your tone into new sounds impossible with a normal guitar. In addition to the original Freeze's abilities, the Deep Freeze features layering, adjustable attack/decay speeds, glissando, dedicated volume controls, and 3 modes: Latch, Moment, and Auto, making it powerful pedal punching well above its weight.

The Deep Freeze allows for instant sound freezing in three modes of operation. Latch freezes sound each time the footswitch is pressed until the effect is bypassed, while Moment mode freezes sound only while the footswitch is held down. Auto mode captured sound automatically each time it senses signal above its threshold for virtually foot-free freezes. These three modes make it easy to operate the Deep Freeze in a way that fits any playing style.

Controls on the Deep Freeze let you further tailor the operation of the effect. Separate DRY and EFFECT volume controls let you blend signals from subtle backing to 100% effect experimentation. GLISS adjusts the morph time between freeze sounds creating otherworldly soundscapes. The SPEED/LAYER knob adjusts either the attack/decay time of the effect in Moment and Auto modes, or the amount of layering possible in Latch mode which makes playing impossible chords possible!

Dusk

Modulated Delay

Warmed and inspirational delay based on a tape delay circuit.

Settings:

Mix: Controls the mix between Full Dry or 50% Dry / 50% Wet

Time: Time between each repetition. From a few ms to 1 second. Signal quality turns to Lo-Fi when it's pushed to long repeats.

Feedback: Number of repetitions. Able to self oscillate very easily when the knob is around 7.5.

Modulation: Amount of modulation in the delay repetitions. Create a sort of old tape effect

Speed: Modulation's frequency from 0.1 to 20 Hz.

Night

Dynamic Tremolo

Turn a huge amount of shimmer and reverb into it to make it oscillate faster.

Settings:

Sens: Sensibility, turn it clockwise to make the tremolo more sensitive to your attack

Depth: Controls the tremolo's volume

Dawn

Shimmer

Create bright soundscapes and loose the notion of time until the sunrise.

Settings:

Blend: Controls the amount of Dry/Wet signal. You can have a full Wet reverb.

Reverb: Reverberation time. Max 15 sec.

Shimmer: Makes the reverb shimmer

Filter: Digital filter. Low pass. Lets you make the shimmer darker or more shiny

Colour: Bandpass active and analogue filter around 3.3 kHz. Controls the Q of the filter.

Destruction Fuzz

Notes: Deluxe version of Hungry Robot's excellent lo-fi Wardenclyffe pedal, introducing elements like Snake (white noise) and Campfire (vinyl crackle) to your signal.

Supplier's Notes:
This pedal is a Deluxe expansion of the Wardenclyffe pedal, with the same great Wardenclyffe vibes, and base circuit and coding. Here's what's new (spoiler: it's a lot).

The Deluxe now has tap tempo control, as well as a wider range of modulation rates, and an LED rate indicator. Also new is an independent control over the level of the ambient PAD. The CLOCK knob controls the operating frequency of the DSP.

Lower frequencies turn the signal into an ultra-muddled, borderline unusable, muddled lo-fi mess. The DETUNE toggle splits the signal into two and tastefully detunes one of them for a lush chorus effect. The CRUSH toggle adds a gnarly bit crusher to the signal.

The three small knobs on top are a Vinyl Noise simulator, to mimic an old record player. The Snake knob adds a filtered white noise/hiss to the mix. The Campfire knob adds a crackle effect. The Pop knob (adds a random popping effect. The Wardenclyffe was already a very solid pedal, but it's now got a claim to be the most feature packed lo-fi pedal out there.

Notes: The Collective is a brand new fuzz pedal designed by Hungry Robot. The Collective is an over-designed, complex fuzz pedal, a true desert island fuzz designed to please the most ardent fuzz connoisseur. The Collective covers a lot of ground with plenty of external controls as well as over a DOZEN internal parameters to narrow down that perfect fuzz tone. The Collective is a pedal that requires and encourages exploration. The Collective has three fuzz circuits in one box. On top of that there is a 2-band State Variable Filter and a chatotic feedback loop.

Starting at the top of the pedal, the "Conventional" knob is a traditional sounding fuzz. This is meant to balance out the more chaotic fuzz tones and provides a bread-and-butter sound when you need it. The "Low Spectrum" and "High Spectrum" knobs are part of an active State-Variable Filter, similar to the one found on The Lumen. The "Synthetic" knob is a logic based CMOS fuzz that can be described using the words, velcro-ey, synth-ey, gate-ey, and glitch-ey. The "Pristine" knob allows you to blend in your clean signal when you need a bit of pureness to balance out the crazier sounds. On the left is the "Overload" knob. This controls the amount of signal let back through an internal feedback loop. The output of the fuzz is fed back into the input causing self-oscillation and some gnarly textures. Underneath the knob is a dedicated momentary footswitch to activate the feedback loop or you can latch the feedback loop ON by flipping the toggle switch up. On the right is the "Submerge" knob. This is a monophonic sub-octave fuzz. Similar to the "Synthetic" fuzz, this is also CMOS-based, so similar gated, unstable tones. The "Submerge" also has a dedicated momentary footswitch to add in the sub-octave with its own toggle switch that can latch the sub-octave.

Controls

Conventional: Adjusts the volume of the Conventional Fuzz

Pristine: Adjusts the volume of the clean signal.
Overload: Controls how much feedback is looped back into front end when Overload is active.
Latching Toggle Next to Overload: Latches the Overload effect ON when up. When down, the effect is bypassed.
Footswitch Below Overload: Momentary control of Overload effect. Does the opposite of what the Toggle Mode is set to.
Submerge: Amount of Submerge, monophonic sub-octave is sent to the output.
Latching Toggle to Submerge: Latches the Submerge effect ON when up. When down, the effect is bypassed.
Footswitch Below Submerge: Momentary control of Submerge effect. Does the opposite of what the Toggle Mode is set to.

Notes: The Aether is a modulating delay pedal.

The initial vision for the design of The Aether came shortly after the release of the Wardenclyffe Deluxe. The intention was to take design the philosophies and incorporate tonal characteristics that made the Wardenclyffe so special, but this time as a delay pedal.

At the heart of The Aether is a PT2399, tap tempo delay. It has the standard Echo, Feedback, and Time controls you would expect on any delay, but what makes it special is the Color, Saturation, and Degrade Controls. The Color toggle completely changes the character of the Aether and has two voices: Warm Analog and Bright Tape. The Saturation knob is a gain adjustment that overdrives the delay chip. The Degrade toggle adds lofi textures and artifacts to the delay line. The Degrade toggle removes a very vital section of the delay circuitry that keeps the delay stable with longer delay times. As you increase the delay time, the artifacts become more present and lofi.

The Aether uses a simple, but versatile modulation LFO core inspired by the Wardenclyffe, but with more features. The LFO cores sets it apart from other modulated delays out there. The speed of the modulation core can be set 3 different ways: Rate knob, tap tempo tact switch, and Sync toggle. When the Sync toggle is set to its middle position, the LFO can run at whatever speed you want. When the Sync toggle is in the up position it is synced to the delay time. When the Sync toggle is in the down position, it is synced to delay time, but in half-time for slower evolving moduation. The Shift knob determines the depth of the modulation; this has plenty of range in case you want to get really obscene. The Stray toggle changes the LFO from a typical Sine wave to a Slewed Random waveform. Creative exploration of the modulation section of The Aether is strongly encouraged. The way the delay rate and LFO rate interact with each other can yield very creative results.

Royal Blue Overdrive offers a wide range of tones from light overdrive into distortion and at lowest Distortion knob setting works as an EQ. It can also be used to create tube amp-like crunchy 'strike hard for distortion' effect. There is not much filtering on the overdrive, to provide a transparent tone that you can tailor with both the Treble and Bass controls.

Like the best boutique amps, the Royal Blue OD lets you determine the amount of breakup by how hard you strike the strings with your pick, and/or by adjusting the volume knob on your guitar. The Royal Blue can add this level of expressiveness to any clean or slightly overdriven amplifier.

Controls

Volume: Sets the overall output level of the pedal.

Distortion: controls distortion, for most dynamic response set where the amount of distortion is controllable with picking force.

Treble: A boost/cut "shelving" type equalizer that controls the amount of high-end, operating where the Presence control is on most amplifiers. Treble can be used to add shimmer to even bright amplifiers without interfering with a typical treble boost of most amplifiers.

Bass: A boost/cut shelving type equalizer that controls the low end, just above resonance of a standard 4×12 cabinet. With both Bass and Treble turned up, you can get a scooped heavy tone; turn the knobs down for soft mid-boost tone.

Notes: CERES - 3 Channel High Gain Preamp

The CERES preamp, contains signature tones from three of KSR's full-size tube amplifiers - the Ares, the Artemis/Gemini, and the Colossus.

Ultimately, the CERES preamp distills the KSR sound into a small package, it features many of the same functions present on all KSR amps - such as the Mode, Feel, and Bright switches. Moreover, this pedal provides the ultimate mobile tone versatility from weekend gigs to fly rigs. It also delivers the KSR signature sound to any board or interface for live and studio applications.

Top mounted jacks allow for easy integration into your existing pedal board. Unique to this pedal operation, 3 bypass modes are included.

- True Bypass, Buffered Bypass, and Clean Bypass. In True and Buffered bypass the pedal operates as expected, no tonal coloration.

The Clean Bypass mode enables the top row of Tone and Volume knobs accessing the Clean channel. These various Bypass Modes allow for integration into any style of rig - from driving a power amp directly (Clean mode), hitting a clean amp down the chain on your pedal board (True Bypass mode), or at the start of your pedal board, driving your other pedals into a clean amp (Buffered mode).

Both of Cere's distortion channels have the same switches and controls, and work in the same manner. However, Rhythm is inherently tighter and more aggressive than the Lead channel. Lead is more compressed and smoother and fatter overall. The Clean channel is not designed to get the "pushed" sound with the Level increased, rather it is designed to stay clean.

The gain controls in all channels feature the same range from clean to saturated signals and operate as close as possible to the full size KSR amps. They function without any unwanted top-end artifacts typically associated with solid-state circuits. The CERES EQ options then make for a highly versatile Pre-Amp pedal giving you as much control.

The operating method the CERES was designed to work best with, is to run it into the input of the effects loop return of any amplifier head or directly into a power amp, but it will also work just as well when run into a clean channel with some EQ tweaking.

The CERES includes two integrated footswitch buttons to activate the 3 channels. The left button toggles between Bypass and Rhythm/Lead. The right button toggles between Rhythm and Lead. With the Bypass Mode switch set to Clean, bypassing the pedal actually activates the Clean channel.

This pedal has been manufactured in KSR's Cincinnati facility. CNC machining, powder coating, laser etching, circuit board assembly are all performed under the KSR roof - no outsourcing.

Notes: EROS - Boost / 3-Band EQ

EROS is not your typical boost. It will boost clean without overdrive, add a little grit, or add distortion.

It has a 3-band active EQ for precision sculpting.

Place it in front of your amp or pre-amp to add volume or grit to a clean or crunch channel. Or, sculpt your amp's distortion response, as you would with a typical boost. However, you're no longer limited to a narrow frequency range dictated by a single tone control found on a lot of classic boosts.
Similarly, use it before or after the CERES / VESTA or any other pre-amp for even more control over its tones, and in order to get the most out of it based on your power amp situation.

This is not "just another TS style boost," therefore it should not be setup in that way. e.g. don't crank the Level and cut the Gain. Start with both at noon and go from there. The Feel (tight/fat/thick) and Mode (clean/clip/dirt) switches will lose effectiveness the lower the Gain control is set.

Further, the higher Level is cranked the more internal distortion can be generated in the last gain stage, and therefore it will add distortion within the EROS coupled with a higher Gain setting. With a lower Gain setting the last stage will remain unclipped, but a huge signal will slam the front end of any amp. This can be too large a signal to achieve your desired sound. e.g. too much saturation due to lack of headroom in the amp's first stage.

Notes: HERA - Transparent Boost with active 3-band EQ

Like the KSR EROS, HERA is not your typical boost. Where the EROS was designed for playing drop-tuned extended range guitar into the muddiest of amps, the HERA is completely different. HERA is designed to push any amp with more typical standard tunings. This pedal is transparent and the low-end is full, yet clear. It will boost clean without overdrive, add a little grit, or add distortion. HERA has a 3-band active EQ for precision sculpting.

Use it in front to add volume or grit to a clean or crunch channel. Or, put it in the loop for some unique boosting and EQ response changes. Similarly, use HERA before or after the CERES / VESTA or other preamp for even more control over its tones, and in order to get the most out of it based on your power amp situation.

The 50s era gave birth to an iconic sound in which a single, short delay was utilized to add depth and rhythmic effect on countless recordings. The newly reissued all-analogue design of the EHX Slap-Back Echo delivers this beloved classic sound and more in a Pico-sized pedalboard-friendly package. With three delay time settings and up to +20dB of boost, the Slap-Back Echo can achieve subtle doubling effects to intense bathroom reflections all with the distinct flavour of bucket-brigade (BBD) circuitry.

Housed in EHX's Pico-sized chassis, the Slap-Back Echo features Gain and Blend knobs as well as a Time switch. The Gain knob controls the input signal before the echo circuit and also adjusts the overall volume at the output with a boost of up to +20dB. With 11 song banks, each bank featuring 7 save slots, the Looper X2 provides a total of 300 minutes recording time (2.5 mins per slot in bank 1-9, 10 min each in bank 10, 11). Notes: Pulse is a miniature IR (impulse response) loader pedal, that can apply a specific tonal profile to the input signal. Speaker cabinets typically change the tone of a guitar or bass guitar in a musical way, which is often collected using a microphone for sending to a mixing console for recording or sound reinforcement. Connecting the signal to a mixer before the speaker usually produces a sterile and harsh sound, which is where the Pulse pedal comes in. This pedal can mimic the speaker cabinet and microphone, meaning that the guitar signal can be taken straight from the preamp section and injected into a channel on the mixer. Another use for IR loaders is to mimic the response of an acoustic guitar, making an electric guitar sound more like an acoustic or an electro-acoustic guitar sound more natural. Notes: Damp is the name given to this miniature digital reverb pedal to describe the immersive sound image provided by its 3 inbuilt reverb models. A choice of Spring, Plate or Hall reverberation types can be selected by the illuminated push button at the top of the pedal. Holding this button down during power-up selects between mono output or stereo output, which requires a stereo jack lead. Three rotary controls adjust Decay, Level and Tone settings as required. Notes: Edge is a mini delay effect pedal with 3 switchable modes for Phi Digital Delay, Analog Delay and Tape Echo. Phi Digital Delay has a tapped repeat for a musical and rhythmic effect. Analog emulates bucket brigade device effects with softly degrading repeats which fade out gently. Tape Echo is a simulation of the magnetic tape loop machines of the 60s and 70s, again producing a more organic and polite echo effect with tone-tempered repeats. Walrus Audio give you the two most quintessential effects that yield unruly amounts of power and influence to an instrumentalist: reverb and distortion. They have been harnessed and woven together for an eternity of ethereal power with The Melee: Wall of Noise. The Melee unapologetically uses a joystick to meld reverb and distortion into one massive blaze of sound. With the flip of the order switch, run the distortion into the reverb or reverb into distortion; signal chain is your call now. For the explorer, the Melee can run one of three different reverb programs Ambient, Octave, and Reverse.

In a less is more approach, Walrus Audio have intentionally decided on controls that are fun to use and will inspire a wealth of creative output. Use the joystick to control the amount of distortion by moving it up and down. Moving the joystick left and right will adjust your reverb mix. The tone and decay toggles have low, medium, and high settings. Modulation can be added to the wet signal by holding down the bypass switch and moving the decay toggle. The left position is no modulation, the middle is a slight modulation, and the right is a high modulation.

Algorithms

The Melee is equipped with three different reverb programs, which can be changed by simultaneously pressing the bypass and sustain stomp switches. Experiment with the order toggle switch to hear how differently these all react in front and after the distortion!

Ambient Reverb (Pink LED) - Huge reverb capable of massive trails and engulfing your chords into an angry wash of sound. Great for soaring melodic lines or shoegaze-driven chord progressions.
Octave Down Reverb (Yellow LED) - Similar to the Dark mode in the Slo, you'll find an eerie lower octave hovering in the reverb trail for a nice and dark atmospheric touch.
Reverse Reverb with Feedback (Blue LED) - Add reversed reverb trails back into your signal, create gentle melodies or push into reverse feedback overload. Big, slow, and sad chords love to hang out here.

Momentary

Press and hold the sustain switch to ramp up the reverb trails. Release and the trails will ramp back down to where the decay switch is currently set. The sustain switch can also latch in all three programs. Press and release the Sustain switch to capture and sustain the current reverb decay for long pad-like sounds in your wet mix. Press again to release the latch, and the reverb trail will taper off based on the position of the decay knob.

The Groove Loop X2 aims to serve as the ultimate looper and drum machine combo pedal whether in the practice room or on stage. The X2 looper features a whopping 14 save slots that can store loops of up to 10 minutes in length in each slot. COSMOS is a drifting memory station designed to work with meditative states through music. The design of the controls, functions and generated soundscapes are intended to evoke, in both performer and listener, states and experiences inherent in meditation, such as limitless space, fluidity, spontaneous development, presence, the ability to hear, tranquility, the experience of subtle harmony and happiness enveloping the whole world.

From a functional point of view, COSMOS is a large array of sound memory, in which recorded sounds undergo constant recombinations, spontaneously generating an ever-changing soundscape. This is achieved in three ways - by a mathematical shift based on the relationships between large prime numbers (the size of all delay lines are different primes), an asynchronous operation of the LFO, and modulation with a slowly changing chaotic signal. As a result, it allows the endless layering and processing of various sounds, as in a looper, but without an intrusive, repetitive loop.

COSMOS generates rich, fluid and evolving soundscapes perfect for ambient music. Using COSMOS, you can play an entire meditative solo concert while being in a spontaneous flow and without using studio-prepared sequences, backing tracks and other things that can't be a reflection of the "here and now".

Notes: 3 Channel 80s/90s Preamp

The VESTA contains a brand new set of voices from KRS along with a familiar feature set. Based on a couple of your favourite amps of the 80s and 90s, you'll feel right at home. Picture a classic Crunch tone suitable for rock and blues, along with a familiar 90s high-gain sound. If modern extended range high-gain is your thing, the CERES delivered. If you're more at home on a 6 string, the VESTA may be your preference.

It's smooth, chunky, thick, and more low-mid focused. It takes boosts just like your favourite vintage high-gain amps. It responds incredibly well to the guitar's volume control. Note: The Clean channel is identical to the CERES'.

Top mounted jacks allow for easy integration into your existing pedal board. Unique to our pedal operation, we include 3 bypass modes - True Bypass, Buffered Bypass, and Clean Bypass. In True and Buffered bypass the pedal operates as expected, no tonal coloration. The Clean Bypass mode enables the top row of Tone and Volume knobs accessing the Clean channel. These various Bypass Modes allow for integration into any style of rig - from driving a power amp directly (Clean mode), hitting a clean amp down the chain on your pedal board (True Bypass mode), or at the start of your pedal board, driving your other pedals into a clean amp (Buffered mode).

The preferred operating method is to run the VESTA into the input of the effects loop return of any amplifier head or directly into a power amp, but it will also work just as well when run into a clean channel with some EQ tweaking. For example, a typical Fender style clean circuit sounds best with Mids cranked, Bass around noon, Treble around 9-10:00, and Bright OFF. Tweak to taste...

Time based effects (delay, chorus, flange, etc) should be placed after the VESTA, before the power amp. A simple loop switcher can even be used to create effects loop(s) between the VESTA and power amp.

The VESTA includes two integrated footswitch buttons to activate the 3 channels. The left button toggles between Bypass and Rhythm/Lead.

The right button toggles between Rhythm and Lead. With the Bypass Mode switch set to Clean, bypassing the pedal actually activates the Clean channel.

Both distortion channels have the same switches and controls, and work in the same manner. However, Rhythm is inherently tighter and more aggressive than the Lead channel. Lead is more compressed and smoother and fatter overall. The Clean channel is not designed to get the "pushed" sound with the Level increased, rather it is designed to stay clean.

The gain controls in all channels feature the same range from clean to saturated signals and operate as close as possible to the full size KSR amps. They function without any unwanted top-end artifacts typically associated with solid-state circuits. The VESTA EQ options then make for a highly versatile Pre-Amp pedal giving you as much control.

Parallax Reverb Modes:

Soft Focus - A lush, surreal recreation of the popular Soft Focus patch from the Yamaha FX500 multi effects processor, a late 80's rack unit that was used to achieve many signature delay and modulation effects used in the early 90's. Adjusting the DECAY control changes both decay time of the reverb and feedback for the dual delay. DEPTH controls depth of all 4 chorus voices.

Reverse (Reverse Reverb) - Inspired by the two most popular rack mount reverb effects of the 80's and 90's, the Yamaga SPX90 and the Alesis Midiverb II. DECAY switches between 8 different fixed delay times from a quick 150ms all the way up to a half second. No tremolo bar, no problem! Reverse mode also features an envelope triggered vibrato that emulates the pitch bend from a Jazzmaster tremolo bar. Change the DEPTH control will set how deep the 'term bar' is pushed. The WARMTH control in this mode is designed to work like the Jazzmaster rhythm pickup tone control.

Hall (Hall Reverb with Ascending Shimmer) - Hall reverb with an octave up. The output of the reverb is fed into an octave up which then feeds back into the input of the reverb, creating an infinitely ascending octave feedback loop. The DEPTH control will change how noticeable this pitch effect is.

The Delay side of the Parallax offers three way switchable modulation that gives you access to even more analogue textures. These carefully voiced echoes sit well in the mix whether clean or paired with your favourite drive or fuzz.

Parallax Delay Modulation Modes:

Off - No modulation, classic analogue-style warm delay.
Deep - Heavy, swirling modulation added to the delay trail.
Light - Softer, gentle modulation added to the delay trail.
Use the Rate, Blend, and Repeats knobs in conjunction with the mode switch to unlock the full palette of Delay sounds in the Parallax.

Filter Freq: Cutoff frequency of the filter. Numbers shown are in Hz.
Filter Output: Volume of the filter section of the pedal.
Filter Selector: Selects between the different filter types - Low Pass Symbol Low Pass, Band Pass Symbol Band Pass, and High Pass Symbol High Pass.
Filter Resonance: Sets the resonance of the filter in conjunction with the Resonance Switch. WARNING: Will self oscillate at high levels!
Resonance Switch: Sets the range of the Filter Resonance knob between Normal and High.

Controls

To Use Both Effects at the Same Time, Simply Adjust all Controls to Taste:

The Mix (1) control is a wet/dry blend that adjusts the overall level of the affected signal.

Time (2) sets the delay time from 0ms to 1500ms (1.5 seconds).

Reverb (3) controls the amount of reverb. Counterclockwise is less reverb, clockwise is more reverb.

Repeats (4) controls the regeneration of the delay signal. When the Repeats control is set to maximum, you'll get infinite repeats without runaway self-oscillation, which makes it great for creating drones, dialing in the ultimate post-rock guitar sound without feedback, or just having fun.

Flexi-Switchr Technology

This device features Flexi-Switchr Technology! This relay-based, true bypass switching style allows you to simultaneously use momentary and latching style switching.

For standard latching operation, tap the footswitch once to activate the effect and then tap again to bypass.

For momentary operation, hold the footswitch down for as long as you'd like to use the effect. Once you release the switch the effect will be bypassed.

Since the switching is relay based, it requires power to pass signal.
