Notes: Amnis is a shift register with a few tricks up its sleeves. It can be used as a generative sequencer for gates and CV, as a tunable digital noise source, as a random gate and CV generator, as the center of a chaotic system and more.

It needs two input signals to start doing its thing. A Clock and some Data. Data can be pretty much any signals. From these two signals Amnis will generate 8 gate outputs, always on the clock. From these gate outputs, it will generate 3 staircase CVs and a slewed CV. With 8 gates and 4 CV outputs it can be the heart of any patch.

Amnis has an XOR input for linear feedback. A shift register with linear feedback is the core of the Rungler, the chaotic core in Rob Hordijk's Benjolin and Blippoo Box. With Amnis you can recreate these type of behaviors with any oscillators you have on hands.

Amnis is compatible with the Turing Machine expanders thanks to its expansion port at the back.

Due to popular demand for a 3U shift register, Amnis replaces (and expands on) Ruissellement, which was the 1U version of this module.

Superior transient response:
In order to dampen resonance peaks at higher frequencies, conventional dome tweeters are injected with fluid to raise their mass, sacrificing transient response time. By contrast, the custom-designed AMT tweeter in the R80 uses an incredibly thin, folded Kapton membrane (< 0.01 mm) with an inlayed aluminum circuit functioning as the voice coil, allowing the tweeter to move at the same instant as the electric current. The resulting reactive response time provides marked clarity and superior transient reproduction.

Wide, consistent stereo image:
An unfolded AMT tweeter diaphragm provides 8 to 13 times the projection area of a traditional 1-inch dome tweeter, enabling R80 monitors to provide a much wider stereo soundstage than traditional designs. At the same time, the R80 provides a very limited vertical dispersion, which helps to reduce reflections from the ceiling and desktop that can cause phase coherence issues. Because it's less subject to room-anomaly interference, the R80 reacts predictably and sounds consistent from room to room.

Review: Les Claypool is of course best known for spearheading Primus, the twisted funk metal pioneers that put slap bass at the top of the agenda. Notes: Seeking to unapologetically tear apart the definition of a chorus pedal, Old Blood Noise Endeavors have created the BL-82 Chorus. An ode to delay time, this is a device with a variable clock control to shift between recognizable shimmering chorus and chaotic modulated delays.

Two delay lines, modulated by opposite synchronized LFOs, are combined in parallel and the timing of the delay lines, as well as the speed and depth of the LFOs, are all determined by one tactile slider. This allows you to instantly open up the modulated floodgates on the fly and go from well-known waves, to deeply unknown oceans of sound.

BL-82 is a chorus pedal, technically. It creates a swirling shimmery sound somewhere between chorus and flanger from a mono instrument signal. Its two delay lines are stretchable, and that's where the pedal's genre blurs from chorus into modulated delay into trailing pitch bending uncertainty.

The control set for BL-82 is dead simple. A Clock slider sets the timing of the entire system. The sample rate that determines signal fidelity, the centre delay time and the speed of the delay modulation are all affected as the slider slides. The interface is rounded out with feedback, volume, and mix add to an immediate experience that breaks open the boundaries of what it means to be a chorus and allows you to further craft the undulations of this mesmerizing device.

Notes: From the creative brains of Old Blood Noise Endeavors, the BL-44 Reverse is a pedal that contends with the existential construct of "time", as it actively seeks to push you to live your sonic life in reverse.

Through a highly intuitive and fun control set, this compact real-time reverse effect allows the user to instantly change the clock speed of the entire sonic system on the fly, letting you achieve sounds ranging anywhere from classic reverse, vivid harmonies to faded lo-fi memories.

BL-44 is a true reverse effect, meaning it will write what you've played to memory, then read that memory from end to start and play it back for you, but with added depth and harmony from the interaction of the Clock slider and Speed knob. It aims for an immediate and tactile experience that encourages the player to keep their thumb on the slider and experiment.

The magic, the extra twist, the je-ne-sais-wow if you like, all comes from the Clock slider. This slider determines the thinking speed of the digital signal processor and sets everything related to time. It determines the sample rate and the overall length of the reverse playback and as you slide it, you feel the pitch slide and resettle. Just like you'd expect, as you play with the forces of time.

In addition, you have a Speed control, which will cause the system to read through its memory in unexpected ways, catching bits multiple times or missing pieces as it tries to read at speeds different from what was written. Plus, you have volume and mix controls and an on/off switch.

Notes: Further pushing the boundary of clock-defined pedals, the latest entry in Old Blood Noise Endeavors' BL series is a Phase Repeater, in the process making a genre entirely of its own.

Phase repetition takes the modulation of a phaser and applies it to the realm of time, creating a completely unique sound and more like delay or reverb than its namesake phaser. First used in the OBNE Dweller pedal, the BL-52 Phase Repeater represents a new spin on the sound, with simple controls including a Clock slider that enlightens the timing of everything in the pedal.

At a point, describing sound feels like describing time: the fourth dimensional perplexity of it all! Of course, this makes sense in that time being intermingled with sound and frequencies only existing over a period of time, whatnot. We spend a lot of time thinking about all-pass filters, you and I. How they pass all frequencies, but at different times. How this, in the digital realm, can create a phaser or a reverb, depending on how much memory you allow it and thus, how much of the fourth dimension it's playing with at any given... well, time.

BL-52 is what we call a phase repeater pedal. It's an effect we stumbled upon in our Dweller pedal development, living somewhere between phaser, delay and reverb, as it creates a series of repeats both unexpected and pleasing. It's digital trickery to do something quite unfamiliar and once you've bonded with it, is irreplaceable.

The BL-52 Phase Repeater is solely focused on that effect, with the Clock control setting the timing of the entire system: the sample rate that determines signal fidelity, the timing of the phase repetition and the speed of the LFO that shapes the diffusion of the repetition.

In short, it is an effect that does not require exactness, but rather openness to where the repetition will lead you.

Notes: As an Old Blood Noise Endeavors take on reverb, BL-37 Reverb Variable-Clock Effector is a new voice with a streamlined control set: a reverb both more immediate and more degraded than any other.

Thanks to its simple yet intuitive and interactive control set this modulated reverb can be quick and highly reflective or slow and stretchy with noticeable pitched undulations.

The sheer audacity of sound, to fill a room, to fill our heads, to fill our hearts. To act digitally as if tangible, as if these walls could talk, as if this were a real space and not a series of all-pass filters and modulated delays meant to capture the idea of somewhere we'd been before and something we'd done before and something we were before, as if. To give control over the whole thing, to simply stretch by hand the entire clock! It's a heck of a concept really.

BL-37 is a reverb pedal. It is lush but also ringy, and easily stretchable. It modulates, and sometimes that modulation feels certain, an obvious pitch bend, while other times it washes, simply a shimmering softening element. The control set for BL-37 is simple. A Clock slider sets the timing of the entire system - the sample rate that determines signal fidelity, the timing of the reverb, and the speed of the modulation within that reverb are all affected as the slider slides. Additional controls for Feedback, Mix, and Volume allow you to further craft the spatial voice in play here.

Audio modelling is based on the NU-X TSAC-HD algorithm, which delivers high-definition analogue circuit simulation for pro quality guitar tones. All settings can be edited onboard or via USB using the downloadable PC/Mac Quicktone software and then stored into one of 36 internal memory locations. For live or rehearsal backing, the built-in Jam function has a fully featured drum machine and phrase looper. To integrate with a DAW studio suite, the USB also functions as a high-quality audio interface, completing the studio-ready guitar rig. Notes: Tape Echo is an echo and delay processor with 7 different types of simulation to recreate the sound of vintage echo units. In addition to classic tape echo simulation, the NDD-7 has a separate spring reverb effect, sound-on-sound (SOS) for operation as a 40 second looper, and up to 1600ms of delay. For authenticity, the NDD-7 also has Wow & Flutter settings and Saturation adds natural compression and degradation, which can even drive into self-oscillation, like a true tape echo. Two foot switches operate as effect on/off and tap tempo and they double as looper and display controls. Notes: Viol Ruina is an all-analogue distortion and lowpass filter with an internal envelope follower and self-modulating cutoff. The four-pole design is reminiscent of the classic filters we all know but with a completely new and slightly ridiculous twist. The independently addressable distortion circuit takes VR into overdriven paradise with a shocking amount of drive. Built-in envelope following makes an easy way to create dynamic patches with the flick of a switch, and feedback FM takes VR to a whole new realm of filthiness. Run a sound through VR, you'll get something cool out of it.

Notes: Xer Dualis is a compact analogue four-channel stereo mixer. Each channel has left and right inputs, a level control, and a mute.
