Acquaint yourselves with the “Brussels-based prince of modern psychedelic electronics” on this track from his forthcoming album for Rush Hour Distribution’s No ‘Label’ operation.
Bear Bones, Lay Low was one of several artists profiled by Antwerp label Ekster on their recent and rather excellent Exo compilation whose work was previously unknown to us. Some online digging reveals the moniker to be one of many projects of prolific Brussels-based Venezualan artist Ernesto González whose canon of Bear Bones, Lay Low material alone covers 20-plus cross-format releases over a ten-year period. The sharper of you will have seen an untitled Bear Bones, Lay Low track close out the recent Rush Hour Distribution mix for All City, so it is no surprise to see Gonzalez has an album coming via their consistently excellent No ‘Label’ series. Entitled Hacia La Luz, there is no official release date for the five-track release yet, but closing track “Sowisau” is available to stream below as a delightfully psychedelic and hazy appetite whetter.
