John Heckle gets remixed on Tabernacle

Call Super, Moon B and Vercetti Technicolor rework material from the Desolate Figures LP – preview it all here.

Last year’s Desolate Figures¬†album remains one of the most impressive techno long-players of recent times, with Liverpudlian producer John Heckle distilling the essence of his legendary live sets into nine tracks of acid, proto house and techno. Despite Heckle maintaining a constant presence since then with releases for M>O>S Recordings and Scenery Records since then, Tabernacle has elected to revisit the Desolate Figures material later this month with a remix 12″ featuring diverse contributions from Houndstooth techno talent Call Super, lo-fi boogie house wizard Moon B, and Giallo Disco Records co-founder Vercetti Technicolour.

Available to preview below, Desolate Remixes sees each producer puts their very distinct stamp on Heckle’s material, with the slow Italo of Vercetti Technicolour offering an intriguing contrast to Moon B’s fuzzy ’80s approach and Call Super’s typically detailed take on “Love Lies”.
