Bell Towers gets the remix treatment

bell-towers remixed
Preview remixes from Ruf Dug, Samo DJ and Spectacle which appear on Public Possession’s next release.

Fresh from introducing ”long term shareholder of the Public Possession Organisation” Obalski, the label’s next release sees friends and associates rework the largely intangible sounds of Territory, the recent 12″ from London-based Australian producer Bell Towers – with previews available below. Of the four remixes, two will come from from Hong Kong-based artist Samo DJ who co-runs Born Free Records together with Sling, while spiky Mancunian selector and producer Ruf Dug delivers a low slung New York-styled electro remix of the original 12″‘s B-side “Jungle Of My Mind”.

Spectacle, a Munich duo consisting of Benjamin Röder and Compost artist Muallem; described by Public Possession as “long time close acquaintances”, provide what sounds like a deep house remix of “J.O.M.M.” to begin with, before smooth chords and linear drums turn into a free and easy, bassline-charged workout. It’s Röder’s second appearance on the label following his recent Sugar Steady cover version with Max Josef that PP slipped out as a White Label earlier this year.
