Optimo Trax turn to The Barking Dogs

Get acquainted with the Milanese mutant funk of the forthcoming Limit Without Patience 12″.

It’s fair to say the Optimo Trax label has been both relentless and surprising in its release schedule since JD Twitch first announced plans for a floor-focused label to incorporate all the material he didn’t feel suited to the Optimo Music label. Finely sculpted techno from a pal of Factory Floor, archival house music from a veteran Dutch producer, wall-shaking whale music from an underrated Glaswegian and diverse club sounds from “two self-effacing Milanese maestros” have all featured thus far.

The first Optimo Trax release of 2014 will keep the spotlight on Milan, and sees the welcome return of The Barking Dogs, two Italian producers with a rich production history for Mad On The Moon, Gomma, and their own eponymous label. Proprietors of the Milan record shop Serendeepity and close friends of JD Twitch, Cristian Croce and Nicola Mazzetti get a chance to show off their cadre of analogue equipment (pictured above) and the more experimental side of The Barking Dogs on the forthcoming Limit Without Patience 12″ which can be previewed below.
