Levon Vincent mixes Fabric 63

U.S. producer Levon Vincent has mixed the 63rd volume of the Fabric CD series, it has been revealed.

Vincent has been hot property for a couple of years now, with releases via his own labels (Novel Sound and Deconstruct Music, the latter of which he ran with Anthony Parasole) garnering acclaim. The early fatherly influence of Underground Quality chief Jus-Ed is cited by Vincent asĀ  major influence; as it the inclusion of the incendiary “Late Night Jam” which appeared on Tama Sumo’s Panorama Bar 02 mix CD in 2009.

Since then there’s been a steady stream of twelve inch releases notable both for their original titles and devastatingly effective productions – from the late 2009 release Double Jointed Sex Freak through to Man or Mistress and, most recently, the Impressions Of A Rainstorm 12″. Revealing the news of the Fabric mix via his Facebook page, the most telling aspect is that Vincent has been cutting some dubplates to use especially for it, echoing the recent efforts by the likes of Pinch and Four Tet. Vincent told Juno Plus he was “incredibly honored to join forces with Fabric”.

London fans can rejoice in the news that Vincent will join Hinge Finger, Doldrums and Sonklowun label boss Joy Orbison on the billing for the first in a series of intimate clubnights overseen by arch promoters Black Atlantic, promising three hour sets from both in an as yet unnamed 300 capacity location somewhere in the twilight zone that is East London on Saturday, March 3.
