Maurice Donovan to release 12″ on SSSSS

David Kennedy, aka Ramadanman, Pearson Sound and, most recently, Maurice Donovan, will release the next 12″ on Untold’s SSSSS imprint.

Hemlock and SSSSS chief Jack Dunning (aka Untold), revealed the news in an interview with Juno Plus, which you can read in full on the site next week.

“There will be three releases that complete the SSSSS project,” said Dunning, before adding: “The next in the series is by Chicago house legend Maurice Donovan.”

The rise of the Maurice Donovan alias raises potential questions over how much we’ll see the Ramadanman alias in the future. Indeed Benji B used his monthly column for DJ Mag in January to suggest that Kennedy’s best known pseudonym will soon be no more. Less conclusive evidence also exists in the fact that Kennedy recently changed his Twitter account from Ramadanman to Pearson Sound.

One of the tracks on the SSSSS EP will be called “Satisfied”. Kennedy debuted the Donovan alias with a stripped back remix of Bristol boy Julio Bashmore’s “Battle For Middle You”.
