Fabric put up for sale

London nightclub Fabric has been put up for sale, according to an article on the Property Week website.

The story, posted this morning, says that the club went into administration this week. Property consultant Edward Symmons has been instructed by administrators at PricewaterhouseCoopers to find a buyer.

The story adds that within 24 hours of being appointed, the firm had already received a “number of enquiries from potential purchasers”.

“We anticipate continued interest in the sale of Fabric, particularly from other major club operators in London and the south east, and we are confident that a purchase will be secured for the business as a going concern,” Colin Haig is reported as saying.

The news comes amid a groundswell of online rumours speculating on the future on the legendary venue, which was reported by Juno Plus last week. Although the news is a severe blow to the club, it does raise hope that it can be bought and remain open in its current form.

Juno Plus has requested an official response from Fabric.
