The Tapographic Delay is a complex multi-tap delay in the Eurorack format with a unique interface designed for live performance. It excels at transforming the simplest audio (a drone, a percussive sound) into complex rhythmic structures, meshes of organic textures, lush harmonic mille-feuilles, liquid and resonant effects.

Have you ever got tired of the monotonous repetitions that your standard delay pedal/module produced? Have you ever wished for a more complex rhythmic structure than just decaying repetition? If yes, you have come to the right place: the Tapographic Delay is an advanced effect that lets you handle repetition in a completely novel way. It is to a traditional delay what a full rhythmic sequencer (with pattern recall, velocity control, tactile input) is to a simple clock. With the TD, you interactively define the rhythm that the repetitions will follow: a velocity-sensitive sensor allows you to record, edit, modify, and sequence your own arrangements of delays. In a sense, the TD is the converse of the classic Frippertronics sound-on-sound setup popularized by Robert Fripp in the 70's: you don't play the guitar, you play the tape loop!

The Tapographic Delay is an expressive experimental instrument meant to be played in real-time, rather than a set-and-forget end-of-chain effect. Interact with it! Experiment! Push it to its limits!

The Discrete Core Ladder VCF shines with crisp sound, a very low noise-floor and a multitude of technical gimmicks. The module features a three-channel input mixer with saturation capabilities. Four outputs provide audio material filtered with -6 dB, -12 dB, -18 dB and -24 dB edge steepness. Each connector is phase-shifted by 90 degrees compared to the prior socket. Cutoff and resonance are voltage controllable. While self-oscillating, the filter can be played chromatically. This means, that the Discrete Core Ladder VCF is usable as a quadrature VCO as well. Thanks to a boost knob, the bass fundament can be kept intact at high resonance settings. A high-pass filter in the feedback path allows users to alter the resonance behaviour. Compared to Moog's classic Ladder design, the sound of the ACL circuit is considerably rougher. Saturation effects lead to roaring results. Tip: Be sure to try out filter FM patches!

Two independent Contour Envelope Generators in a single 12hp wide Eurorack module. These are very accurate replicas of the Model D contour generators, with identical circuitry and component values running on the correct +9.3V and -10v supply voltages of the original; so they exactly replicate the original envelope response along with all of it eccentricities. Extra features include manual trigger buttons and envelope status LED's.

The contour generators played a larger part in the sound of the Model D than many people realise. There are two factors that make them unique, firstly the exponential slope when is used in conjunction with the (near) linear slope of the original VCA which is responsible for the famous Model D "punch". Secondly, the re-trigger behaviour is quite unique, multiple retriggering increases the output level so that either the volume increases incrementally, or the filter opens incrementally with each extra key press.

AJH Synth have added independent Decay switches for each individual Contour Generator rather than the shared switch on the original synthesiser, these switches change the Contour response from AD (switch up) to ADSD mode (switch down).

The Dual VC Delay consists of 2 equal, independent delays A and B, each with its own feedback loop.

Each contains a 6dB HP and a 6dB LP filter (not VC), but the internal feedback loop can be opened by patching a cable into the "IN FB" - jacks to route other signal-processing modules into the feedback-loop. Please note that there is no "Dry-Signal"-path. By designing the module, we thought, it would be mostly used in combination with other modules to achieve some echoes and reverberated ambience, one could put one delay in the feedback-path of another delay for example - there are many different routing configurations, achieving strange modulated reverberated space by combining several Dual VC Delay-modules in various manner.
Due to its vast flexibility, the module offers lots of possibilities for hours-longing sessions of mangling signals, pitch modulation and the generation of fantastic ethereal outer galactic spaces. Used in parallel/stereo-mode, it generates voltage controlled modulated spatial effects with its own special character. The sound of the Princeton PT2399 delay chip often reminds for BBD-circuit's which principle in fact shares similarities with the function of the PT2399 chip. Because the audio -and CV - inputs are normalized in the scheme of A=>B, the module is following your needs for many different patching situations easily. The sonic possibilities of using several module together can be mind-blowing, especially when the almost endless possibilities of different feedback-routing are explored.

With the Model 110 Quad Gate, musicians can add the distinctive sounding, nonlinear VCAs of the Buchla 100 series to their Eurorack synthesizers. The circuits are controlled via potentiometers and CV inputs. The VCAs' response characteristic is exponential in the first third of their control range. In the second third, the response characteristic changes to linear and finally to logarithmic behaviour. Additionally, some saturation is applied at the upper edge of the control range. The Model 110 Quad Gate does not feature vactrols. Thanks to its ultrafast response time, the module is a great partner for creating percussive sounds. Furthermore, the Model 110 is able to perform amplitude modulation at audio rates.

The Dark Energy II is a monophonic stand-alone synthesizer with USB and MIDI interface. The sound generation and all modulation sources are 100% analog, only the USB/MIDI interface contains digital components. The Dark Energy is built into a rugged black metal case with wooden side plates. High quality potentiometers with metal shafts are used and each potentiometer, except the filter mode control, is fixed to the case (no wobbly shafts and knobs). The distance between the controls is a bit wider compared to A-100 modules and knobs with vintage look are used.

MIDI channel and reference note are adjusted by means of a learn button and LED at the rear panel. The interface generates the gate signal that controls the envelope generator and 3 x analog control voltages: CV1 is used to control the pitch of the VCO, CV2 the VCF frequency (free assignable Midi controller) and CV3 is available as an additional socket at the rear panel (controlled by volume/velocity). It can be patched e.g. to the VCA control input.

The 3 x CVs and the gate signal are also available at the rear panel as jack sockets cascading of several units via internal MIDI O/I connection, because of shortage of space the unit has no MIDI output socket available this connection has to be established internally, for this the metal case has a hole on both sides so that the MIDI O/I connection can be made via this hole provided that both units are mounted to one another, the MIDI output has thru function with one exception: the signal does not include the MIDI note messages that have been processed already, consequently polyphonic cascading (all daisy-chained Dark Energies on the same MIDI channel) or monophonic cascading (different MIDI channels) is possible, it's possible to connect only the first unit to USB and pass on the MIDI data via the internal MIDI link to other devices.

A Digital Delay Line with an Analog Soul:

The Euro DDL features 10 seconds of pristine delay at a 192 kHz sample rate and a unique design that strictly limits the amount of digital circuitry to the bare minimum. Soft saturation clipping, low pass filter, feedback, insert loop, relay bypass, and +20 dB boost are all analog. Like all modules in the "Mutant Drums" series, the bassdrum takes a reverend circuitry and mutates it. In this case it is an 808 BD expanded by a pitch parameter, voltage control of pitch and decay as well as a proper voltage controlled distortion you can use independently for other sounds like a synth lead.

The Tone potentiometer controls, as in the original 808, the timbre of the bassdrum. The decay parameter allows for generating snappy short to very long bassdrums and goes up to self-oscillation. The range of the pitch parameter is very wide, it ranges from sub audio to frequencies suitable for tom sounds. The pitch can be voltage controlled in addition; although the input is not 1V/octave you can still play basslines easily.

The bassdrum is played after having received an impulse at the Trig input. Accenting the sound is possible due to the accent input. An LED indicates when the bassdrum is played.

The bass drum sound is internally routed to the distortion input and is available in its distorted version at the Dist output. As there's an audio input as well, you can distort any sound you desire. Both input level and amount of distortion are adjustable, the latter one is voltage controllable. Distortion activity is visualized with an LED.

The Field Kit is optimized to process signals from microphones, contact microphones, electromagnetic pickups and able to run DC motors and solenoids. On top of that it can receive radio signals and convert signals from switches and sensors into control voltage!

The Field Kit boasts 7 separate functional blocks all focussed on receiving or generating all types of signals. They are designed to operate together as a coherent electroacoustic workstation or alternatively together with other pieces of music electronics with the ability to use control voltage signals.

The Four Channel Mixer is the beating heart of the Field Kit, providing a fully functional mixer with individual Gain, Mix Level and Tone control over each channel and individual Master- and Aux sub-mixes.

The level of the Master and Aux Channels can be set with the Master Volume and Aux Volume controls and the channels being sent to the Aux sub-mix can be set with dedicated Aux Select-buttons. The Aux sub-mix is pre-fader.

The CV Radio is a CV-controllable radio receiver capable of receiving radio frequencies on AM/FM and SW bands. Additionally it provides the ability to catch electromagnetic waves for further processing inside the Field Kit. The frequency of the radio can be set with a dedicated multifunctional Search-control which acts both as a manual CV-source and as an input attenuator for a CV-signal.

The Envelope Follower in the Field Kit applies two functions to the waveform you send to the input: full-wave rectification (mirroring of negative portions of the waveform) and low-pass filtering (averaging). It can also be used for frequency doubling of a signal, which is a great tool to have in the electroacoustic domain.

The Low Frequency Oscillator generates periodically varying voltages to be used as control signals. The output waveform can be set with a three-position Waveform-control and gives out either a Square-, Triangle- or a mix of Square and Triangle waveforms.

A very cool function of the Field Kit is the DC Interface. You can use its output voltages to run little motors, fans, solenoids, buzzers and control them with control voltage signals. You can pick up the vibrations and electromagnetic waves with the contact microphones and electromagnetic pickup.

The Signal Interface is a nifty toolset to transform the raw signals of a wide variety of sensors and switches into signals that can be used with the Field Kit or other gear. This means you can trigger or control sound by light, heat, humidity, distance, speed, acceleration, proximity, pressure, force, level, all depending on what type of switch or sensor you are using! Ideal for sound installations!
