After a breakout debut 12 months last year with a triplet of killer 12"s, Ilario Liburni's emergent Cardinal operation has really built on that momentum so far in 2015. The founder himself kicked proceedings off with the two-part release The Devil Is In The Details and now Cardinal have secured some polished groovers from Romanian producer Zefzeed. Hailing from Timis, Western Romania, Zefzeed has quickly established himself as one of the country's brightest production talents and the two tracks on Sweet Potato are an apt demonstration of why he's so highly regarded. There's a delightful off-centre feel to the drums on "Sweet Potato" with a thick atmospheric soup slowly enveloping the track, whilst "Salted Lemon" pulses with kinetic energy over a steady kick arrangement.
