Slippery Leeds producer continues to treat 2013 as the year where he comes good on all the promise shown as a much vaunted 'up and comer' - this 12" for Will Saul's re-energised Simple label arrives after two well received drops on Secretsundaze and Hype Ltd. There are still remnants of Youandewan's doe eyed dalliances with nascent strains of Bass music present across all four tracks on this What's The Deal? 12" namely in the pitch shifted vocal nudged deep into the productions but he's adopting much more of an outright house poise here.. The title track is melancholic beat down but the tempo is gradually cranked up from here. The fizzing "Just Words" draws you deeper into the house mainframe with some splendid kicks reminiscent of the Bradock classic "Deep Burnt" and it's hard to choose between this and the bristling percussive "You Tired" for release highlight.
