Readings (excerpts) from legendary American figure of the beat generation William S Burroughs from two of his most famous books. The Nova Express was part of a Trilogy, alongside The Soft Machine and The Ticket That Exploded. It employed the infamous 'fold-in' method of writing which involved re-assembling different variations of texts into the novel, almost like a literary remix or Dadaist poem. Naked Lunch was considered the sequel to the trilogy; a semi-autobiographical story which follows the protagonist William Lee and his struggles with substance abuse across the globe, but mainly in the dreamlike Interzone while in Tangier.
