Japanese legend DJ Nobu's Bitta imprint is back with emerging Osaka based producer Wata Igarashi who has created some sublime hypnotic techno recently for the likes of Midgar, Time To Express and Semantica. On the Haziest Just Before Dawn EP he continues on with his impressive streak. The title track is driving, and tunnelling hypnotism for the peak time hours with paranoid pads drawing you down into the void and its rapid fire rhythm providing good levels of adrenaline. "The Ritual" is deeper and more restrained, keeping you on your toes with its broken beat and droning, Mike Parker style bass pulsations: this one is properly nefarious. The title track gets two remixes by the Semantica Head honcho Svreca, but for our money it's the "Svreca Remix 2" which will have you trancing out in proper transcendental fashion.
