Urals marks the end of an era for Walls pair Sam Willis and Alessio Natalizia, their final album together under the name after several years of blinding sonics for Kompakt and their own Ecstatic Recordings. All good things come to an end right? Certainly, the seven tracks feel like an attempt for Natalizia and Willis to end on a high note, with a new intensity present throughout. With both members engaged in solo projects, Natalizia as Not Waving and Willis as Primitive World, we are still likely to hear much more from them individually and Urals is a fine way to sign off the Walls project.
