Riding high on the renewed interest in his ventures from the earliest days of house music, Merwyn Sanders brings a fresh track to the table in the poignantly titled "Where Are You?" and it's as emotive and powerful as any of the original Virgo Four output. Warm basslines, mournful lead synths and gentle but driving drums abound, just like you'd want them to, setting the scene for a string of remixers to pay their respects. Nicholas opts for a more proggy synth line and more detail in the beats, but keeps things very much on the straight and narrow, while Max Essa gets a brooding, cosmic disco tint to his own interpretation. K&M are the clear winners in the remix stakes though, bringing a stunning, swinging broken beat and lamenting Rhodes notes to bear on the winsome melodics.
