Having debuted on Tony Scott's Edit Select label last year with "Typhon", the Avian co founder Ventress returns here in remixed-by-noted-contemporaries fashion. In original format, Ventress's production was that most intriguing of techno oxymoron's; the subtle peak time number. In the hands of Semantica boss Svreca, there are still notable remnants of the track's DNA, not least the underplayed filters, and Svreca also reins in the originals growling menace with stripped back, heads down results. Vaguely mysterious Swedish artist Abdullah Rashim takes a similar approach though his production has a notably murkier finish to it. Recommended!
