Misantropen vinyl

Described rather succinctly in the accompanying release notes as "acidic/tribalistic definitions of black metal music," Misantropen comes on Northern Electronics, a sublabel of Abdulla Rashim's ARR Records, and is attributed to Varg, someone whose music is supposedly "the outcome of a loners mind". Across eight tracks Varg delivers a series of minimalistic acid tracks drenched in a glacial atmosphere; from the frenetic pulse of "Norrlandska Vemodet" to the slow moving "Stambanan", whose searing textures recall Andy Stott's recent work or Andreas Tilliander's recent LP as TM404 - also heartily recommended for those feeling the transmissions from the Acid Test label.
