|1.||"The Tribe" (5:51)|
BLM man Ben Micklewright and Phonica staffer Souhail 'Soho' Zaatari first started producing together under The White Man and The Arab name two years and the two 12"s they released on the label of the same name have remained ever present in the record boxes of the more considered house selectors. A third 12" arrives from the pair and the mood is still very deep and hardware driven. The more you listen to the four cuts on Hashashin, the more you get the sense Soho and BLM are more confident behind the buttons together. The twisting patterns of acid on lead track "Variations" ensure it remains in your immediate memory, but the three other productions are by no means mere filler with "The Tribe" really quite trippy indeed!
