There's a lot to like about this debut album from Sidcup experimentalist The Central Office of Information, not least his peculiar but brilliant take on "Hauntology". The album is effectively a creepy, otherworldly sound soup, with the producer placing Radiophonic Workshop style analog and modular synthesizer motifs on top of a bed of crackling field recordings, effects-laden radio snippets, quirky spoken word samples and occasional leisurely drum machine beats. A lot of it sounds like Delia Derbyshire trying to recreate the KLF's "Chill Out", which we think you'll agree is a particularly awesome proposition.
