Untracked awake from their record releasing slumber with a belated first release in 2010 with two cuts from newcomer System Status that maintain the standard set by previous output from Red Rack'em, The Off Key Hat and Rui Maia. The title track is a tight disco thumper that hits the spot at 120 BPM, with a bombastic beginning that demands you slam it right in. A hugging bassline and liberal amounts of vocal and big piano line edits ensure this one will retain prominence in your record box for months to come. "Montparnasse" is complemented by the slower but equally slick "Downtime" on the B Side, described by System Status himself as .4am Electric Chair fodder'. Anyone who was lucky enough to grace the seminal Mancunian club night will attest that a mid tempo beatdown infused with real soul is just that sort of thing!
