Swedish producer and mastering engineer seems to work at a prolific rate, and also favours operating under alias, the most notable in recent times being the Roland centric dub techno experimentations of the TM404 project for Malmo hub Kontra-Musik. Given his pedigree, it seems slightly strange that Tilliander hasn't appeared on Svreca's Semantica label before, but this debut 12" sees the Swede celebrate with the unveiling of yet another alias in Svaag. Entitled Sade, but seemingly far removed from the singer of the same name, the three tracks here find Tilliander dabbling with powerful synth textures that place the Svaag sound somewhere between the Raster Noton, Subtext and Diagonal camps. In other words, great techno!
