Stimming has never been the typical Diynamic producer, much as he can fit into the roster like glove to hand. There's a detail and musicality that will always exceed the minimalism of that imprint, an intrepid spirit that wants to go beyond the afters and into a new day filled with difference and ideas. Positive, which sees him team up with Lambert, may well be the realisation of that assumption.
There's nothing here that is house per se, and yet most of what's here could well be played alongside the smokier end of the genre. In realty, this is late night stuff made for red wine on the beach in late-September, inflections of jazz, classical, downbeat, opera, blues and more, ultimately cultivating what we can only describe as a very, very good album.
