Review

Stephane Laporte's Fourrure Sounds, released to critical acclaim back in 2014, was something of a lo-fi triumph. Recorded entirely at night, with a variety of old analogue synths and a battered old tape recorder, it saw the Domotic producer pay tribute to experimental French electronic music of the 1970s. This follow-up is almost as good, with Laporte drifting between throbbing, percussive fare (see "Dispositions"), Black Zone Myth Chant style madness ("Ossature"), fine cosmic workouts ("Tunnel"), and blissful, new age-inspired ambient concoctions ("Timre"). It's arguably a little more expansive in scope than its' predecessor, but no less entertaining for it. In fact, it's another must-check record from Antinote.
