The latest NDATL comes from a fresh talent in the shape of Atlanta producer Stefan Ringer, and it's a special prospect indeed. The jazz is most definitely strong in this EP, from the scatty broken beat flow of "The Fix" with its lopsided synth wobbles to the sensual soul shimmer of "IFY" with arresting vocals from Afua. On the flipside "Meagangood" gets into a skippy house refrain with keys that positively lift up out of the room, and "MYM" plies a thoughtful chord progression against another set of sublimely shuffling drums. "Transitions" finishes the EP off marvelously in a more moody environment with scattered vocals adding to the heady vibe.
