"From Wave to EBM, from NDW to Punk and everything else in and out of the box. It is like going to the club meeting up with Kraftwerk on speed and The Sex Pistols on acid." So says the Staatseinde website, not that the Dutch New Wave-rs could ever be accused of approving a very statement-statement about themselves. Thankfully, it's all true. Even on record the outfit have this magical ability to be sexy robot-funk-pedlars that make you want to move feet, and jump on a production line to get to work. Fehlerlinie is fantastic from start to finish, as you may have guessed already, bringing dystopian doom with groove ('Welt Am Draht'), wasp-in-jar electro ('Vi Ar Hubots'), and stepping romantic yet twisted synth pop ('Elitisti') in the first three tracks alone. Beyond hooked by then, cue staccato glitchy rawness, gabber-tempo'd electronic punk, and progressive-edged drive with bondage tendencies.
