New York's Slow To Speak (AKA Francis Englehart and Paul Nickerson) are hardly newcomers to the edit game, having first picked up a scalpel back in 1999. Here, they've raided their archives to put together a two-disc set of their personal favourites, including no less than 11 previously unreleased cuts. While rooted in US house - and particularly deep house, Sound Factory era darkroom tackle and New Jersey garage - Edits 1999-2014 also takes in thunderous techno (a sublime version of Mark Imperial & Co), acid jack, hip-house, '80s goth rock (Beige's "Emperor"), David Byrne and Bjork (the duo's sparkling edit of "Sun in My Mouth" is arguably the album's stand out moment).
