Nino 'Shapednoise' Pedone is currently one of the busiest individuals in underground electronics, overseeing two labels, collaborating with Mumdance and Logos as The Sprawl as well as industrial legends Black Rain. Crucially, everything he touches is quality, and this new Shapednoise album is no different. Opening on a bold collaboration with Justin K Broadrick, Different Selves finds Shapednoise in epic form, conjuring a widescreen cacophony of noise that has your attention from the first moment til last. Moments of brute sonics such as "What Is It Like?" and "The Man From Another Place" stand out on first listen, but give it all some time to sink in.
