Lovers of early 90s indie-rock rightfully hold up this Seam album as one of the classics of the genre. It's a bit more pop than the grunge that was around at the time, and a bit more dreamy than the sounds of Dinosaur Jr. The band was made up of Sooyoung Park and Mac McCaughan with bassist Lexi Mitchell and they had a raw setup when recording this album. All ten tracks featured talk-whispered vocals with lots of big frothing guitars and scattered snare rolls that add up to textured walls of sound. For the first time in 30 years, this album includes an original version of Codeine's slowcore classic 'New Year's.'
