RisingEasy Records and Permanent Records are the labels responsible for the excellent Brown Acid series of rare, undiscovered gems of 70's fuzz-riddled psychedelic dirtiness.
In the midst of their archaeological crate diving, the purveyors also unearthed countless metal classics from a bygone era before the genre was splintered into multiple subsets.
Available widely for the first time on vinyl, this first volume of 'Scrap Metal' features a vast array of differing styles from proto-thrash to glam rock (before those phrases were common), with varying degrees of production quality, adding to the forgotten, nostalgic charm of these would be metallers.
Be it the dudebro humour of Air Raid's '69 In A 55', or the hard rock charge of 'The Power' by Ressless, this first instalment is rife with underappreciated relics of early metal. A curious companion piece to the Brown Acid series; continuing the retrospective praise of artists initially not paid their dues.
