Axe On Trax's little sibling, the white-label spawn by the name of Axe Traxx, is starting to grow into a rather impressive little imprint thanks to releases from Sonderr and Italy's Die Roh. The third instalment is a collaborative affair from a series of emerging house deviants and, as per usual, this is is mightily limited and even a little bit tipped! Dusty house sensations are given off by Ruff&Stax's "Brando"; "James Brown" from Kid Mark is a stomping, chord-heavy analog belter; DJ Pegasuz and FTPup deliver a fast-paced, raw-as-hell house killer in the same style as Dance Mania 12"s from the late 90s, and "XX" by Fede Lng is simply a nasty piece of work in all senses of the phrase - dark, squelching, distorted, and just the right amount of funky. TOP 12!
