Started in 1996 by music enthusiasts, DJs and compulsive record diggers Adrian Gibson and Perry Louis, Messin' Around was only expected to run for a few weeks. 10 years later and the session is still going strong - attracting crowds of music lovers from London and further afield. It seemed only right to release a compilation to celebrate this milestone for one of London’s longest-running jazz and boogie nights, but it was also essential to release some of these tracks on to vinyl for the first time. Leading the charge is Rasmus Faber with the tantalising "Ever After (Samba reprise)" setting the pace for the dancefloor. Following on is Elizabeth Shepherd with her fully-charged "Four" - exclusive to this 12". Over on the flip, Abossa Eletrica drop the fantastic "Beleza Nao Vai Embora", whilst Boomish finish things of with the be-bop jazz sound of "Smalls". Essential music for the more discerning dancefloor!
