Nottingham legend Charles Webster's 1996 underground classic "The Strength" has been legitimately re-released with his full involvement for 2019 and remastered by London's Curve Pusher from the original sources especially for Mint Condition - a record label focused on excavating the outer fringes of classic house and techno. Originally released on Webster's cult Remote label, it was one of a handful of Presence releases produced by himself. "Gettin' Lifted" is classic Webster - a mesmerising cut that's at once soulful, sensual and evocative, followed by the smooth late night mood music of "Feelin' Lifted" which goes deep. The flipside houses two versions of the title track. The "Within" mix packing a real punch with its intense tribal tech house feel, while "Without" calls to mind the emotive vibes of his previous material under his Furry Phreaks moniker.
