Precipitation, or Zefan Sramek as he's known in British Columbia, has been steadily coming out with tight little house bangers over the last three years, but this latest EP for Warsaw's Get The Balance Right might well be his best moment yet. "First Time" is a gentle house journey that somehow manages to weave a subtle line of Detroit electro into its circuit, while "Become" is more of a classic, bass-heavy outsider house tool with a loose groove and an analogue flair. On the B-side, "W/O" injects a warm, soulful blend of harmonies and gentle tones, while "Don't Go" is the sort of house music that Zelda or the Final Fantasy crew would be listening to. Gentle, meditative and recommended. Be quick!
