YYK no label is a sub label of yoyaku that has been turning out left of centre electronic sounds for the last four years. Pochtrone is a mysterious new artists who has taken care of three consecutive releases on the label all in quick succession. He draws on minimal, techno and tech house for his inspiration but comes up with something that sounds like none of them. Opener 'Pantin' is a tense and involving affair that has hurried bass which seems to almost fall over itself while alien effects and vocals fight to cut free from the tight groove. On the flip is the epic 10-minute-plus 'Tingle,' with its bulbous bass and skittish percussion constantly on the move, trying your mind in knots and keeping your feet busy.
