Attempt No Landing vinyl

Back when Phil Moffa debuted on The Corner alongside Anthony Parasole in 2012, he was regarded as somewhat of an unsung mastering hero of NYC techno; a stateside equivalent to Neel or Rashad Becker responsible for countless mixdowns and post-production jobs. In the subsequent years, Moffa's status as a producer outright has grown thanks to some solo outings on local labels Plan B and Most Excellent Unltd. A return to The Corner is most welcome and Attempt No Landing finds the New Yorker in fairly bracing mood from the off with "Magnetic" dominated by an alien pulse and the deathly thud of the submerged bass drum. "Molecular" is just as unrelenting, though there is a more playful funk at its core whilst "Ignition" heads off into dubbier territory, with skittering hi hats aplenty! All hail the Moffa!
