When it comes to delivering the dancefloor goods, Moscow-based Phil Gerus has a highly impressive track record. It was probably this, as much as anything else, that persuaded Tensnake to request a second EP from the Russian producer following last year's brilliant label debut "Make Time". Predictably, all four sneaky re-edits showcased here are fire, from from the '80s freestyle-goes-to-Europe bustle of opener "Kabary" and spacey '80s soul wriggler "Not That Kind Of Girl", to the vocoder-laden deep space brilliance of "Sudden Move", where starry chords and reverb-laden sax lines combine to create a breathtaking sliver of beat-free brilliance.
